Ironically even though we disagree on how the Harris Campaign is in its messaging, I'm not as optimistic with the math haha 😄  this is a smaller polling lead than what Biden had (~4%), but it's all about who turns out to vote. (he won by 1.16%)

Yeah it still ain't great looking at the aggregate but it is finally trending again in the Dem direction.

We will see if other polls from reputable pollsters back it up and move the aggregate toward the Quinnipiac number of 5-6%.

This is really fascinating. How is the right in North America able to convince the labour vote to switch to a side that's never supported them?

I guess don't come crying when trump allows more union busting.

What I'd like to know is how many % of each voting population in those polls are female.

I mean dems kinda dropped the ball by not inviting their head to speak at the dnc but their current head is a bit of an a hole so this really ain't that surprising.

Also remember teamster represent delivery drivers and truckers so knowing that group, it also ain't surprising.

Not being invited to the DNC could be a factor, but I can't help but think that misogyny is likely a bigger contributor, which is part of the reason why I'd like to know what percentage of respondents to those polls were female.

Like I've said before, the polls are going to go back and forth. It likely won't be an indication of the election more than it will be the media needing to keep their audiences captivated.

Next week it'll be the Republicans again followed by the Dems a week after.

Simply put: polls are stupid these days.

Back to hard policy numbers.

This is how the Trump Tax Cuts were paid for going by the estimates of the Congressional Budget Office while Trump was president in 2017. Anyone with a negative got a credit, anyone with a positive got an increased tax burden.

The party that is worse for the pockets of the middle class is very apparent. Figures are in millions of dollars. Also notice the poison bill that extends through the entirety of Biden's term with tax increases on the poorest income brackets taking place during his term.

This also represents Three Iraq Wars worth of expenditure that Trump added to the budget.

Federal Reserve September interest rate decision: 50 basis point cut

  • The outcome of the September 18, 2024 FOMC meeting and rate decision
  • Bowman dissents in 11-1 vote
  • No change to QE, as expected
  • Economists widely expected a 25 bps cut
  • Fed funds futures priced the likelihood of 50 bps at 59%
  • Fed funds were in range of 5.25% to 5.50% before the decision
  • Now says: The Committee has gained greater confidence that inflation is moving sustainably toward 2 percent, and judges that the risks to achieving its employment and inflation goals are roughly in balance.

Of course Tuberville has to be shamelessly political. What else would you expect from a guy who once said "My daddy went to Europe in WW2 to fight Socialism."

@Gatorcare to explain how this is acceptable?  Trump is no more than a common terrorist as demonstrated by garbage like this?  Please use actual sources instead of Nazi YouTubers to support your defence of this vermin.

Helps the Dems actually with polls being close.  GOP will be motivated to vote for their King no matter what.  Fear of King Fatass being in power might get people out to the voting booths.

Lol no, every politician stretch the truth.

You are not in an active combat zone unless you are in a nation actively at war. Getting targeted by drones from terrorist groups at a base is not active combat as US don't have combat operations there.

Combat zones are declared by executive order and are listed by the IRS webpage so any soldier serving in these areas is on active duty in a combat zone.

Very true, although I think 2016 would be on a lot of those peoples' minds as well.

People seem to want to refer to 2016 as a "never say never" moment, but that very fact that people are saying that means its still fresh in peoples' minds.

Your husband in on the campaign trail saying things like 'we won't have a country in 4 years' and this is what is on your mind? I don't get it but whatever.

I doubt she's even writing this stuff. It's probably in the prenup that don gets to control this

I said it earlier: Trump is worried about losing and is laying the groundwork for another attempt to overturn the result when he does.

The problem for the Repugs is that a shutdown is a political loser for the party. Mitch McConnell has already called the idea "stupid" and say what you will about him, he's twice as smart as Dolt 45....

I think we can all see that coming. You see it with the debate. Gets his ass kicked and then immediately claim "all the polls" say he won. Claim it was rigged against you, it wasn't fair etc.

Same as 2020. Heck he even claimed it was rigged against him when he won in 2016.

I was watching a documentary about the 2020 election and the "stop the steal" movement last night.

I had kind of forgotten about it, because there's so much bullshit coming from the Trump campaign, but they were already talking about "evidence" and "proof" about fraud and rigging, within a couple of days of Biden being declared the winner.

Never mind the fact that there's no way they could have compiled any meaningful data in that amount of time. I fully expect more of the same....and I fully expect his followers to once again, completely miss the illogic...

Laura Loomer pregnant with Trump's child would be ine heck of a October surprise. Even more so if Loomer got an abortion on it.
