They want to be ruled by someone as stupid as they are.  No time for nuance or grey areas. The Left has its own arrogance in zealous righteousness. Their recent obsession with simplifying the Israel > Gaza and its neighbours into black and white. Good vs Evil. Demanding Harris commit to withholding all arms to Israel. Do they not understand what new horrors would be unleashed with the destruction of Israel?  Its a complicated problem that is further complicated by leaders of both sides of the conflict having an interest in escalation for their own political aspirations. There is no easy solution that some on the far left think there is.  

 

But the Right takes the cake for its idiotic simplification of complex matters as an easy path to power. Lazy and mean as well. Picking on easy targets, and dehumanizing them. Creating fear about them. No shame in using disinformation to fool your constituents. Promoting division, hatred and suspicion of "the other".  And no shame in using disinformation and lies to fool the most angry and gullible in society.  Crapping on their own country and calling it a shithole, just so that candidate can proclaim that he alone can fix it.  Tear it all down.  Instead of seeing the best in the country, and its people, and look for ways to improve upon and build it up.

 

Kamala Harris came along at the exact right time.  Like  opening a window that you never knew was there and letting in a breath of fresh air.  She probably won't get done everything she promises, but she is at least  trying.... to bring back the USA to something that i always admired them for as a Canadian. Their optimism and roll up your sleeves mentality. And their taking no bullshit.  From weak minded greedy criminals like Trump to foreign dictators looking to destabilize democracies.

 

Apropos of nothing, but a while back I saw an article with the title "Is America Getting dumber?" (or something close to that).....

 

....It included a photo of Lauren Boebert. :classic_laugh:

I knew he was just using his run for office as a grift, but jeez he and his wife have been pumping it up to eleven in the last months.  Trying to cash out as much as they can before Donny goes to the slammer.

 

You just know there are already folks down there that have turned whole houses, garages, storage containers into Trump knickknack museums.  Probably thinking they will be worth something someday.

Actually, I have a feeling that some of those items may just be collectible one day. But not for decades. And be a total kitch item. Originally put out by the most corrupt President in US history who died in prison on the toilet tweeting

@Elias Pettersson Ex-'Apprentice' candidates dump nearly entire stake in owner of Trump's Truth Social platform

 

A Florida firm owned by former contestants on “The Apprentice” has disposed of nearly all its 5.5% stake in Trump Media & Technology Group, which owns former president Donald Trump's Truth Social platform.

 

United Atlantic Ventures LLC, which owned around 7.53 million shares of common stock in TMTG, now owns only 100, according to a regulatory filing Thursday.

 

Fort Lauderdale-based UAV is owned by Andrew Litinsky and Wesley Moss, former contestants on Trump’s TV show, “The Apprentice” who also helped facilitate a merger that took Trump Media public in March.

 

Attorneys for Trump Media have argued that UAV is not entitled to shares in the company because of mismanagement by Litinsky and Moss.

 

But earlier this month, a federal judge in Delaware ruled in the firm's favor in a lawsuit filed against Odyssey Transfer and Trust, a securities transfer agent. The court's summary judgment in the case came in response to UAV seeking assurance from the judge that it would be able to sell its minority stake in TMTG.

 

TMTG’s share price hit a high of $79.38 on its first day of trading. It closed Thursday at $13.98 per share.
