Toffoli's playoff point totals are:

93 Games - 20 goals - 26 Assists = 46 points or .5 PPG

For the record, I'm not saying we need to sign him, I still think he's slow... just pointing out he might not be as bad as everyone thinks

Yeah, that puts him around a 40pt player over 82 games for the playoffs.  His production drops quite a bit vs his regular season play.

You still have to get to the playoffs

I think he was saying it was a 0.2 ppg drop from regular season to playoff.

I don't understand this argument

Scoring in playoffs goes down across the board

Very rare will you see a player have better ppg in playoffs than regular season unless it's a small sample size

What about Kylington as a potential option? He had a really solid year in 2021-22, then took a year off for personal reasons and didn't have a fantastic season on a bad Calgary team this year. It sounds like he's going to hit the market, and he probably won't command a big money or long term deal. I'm not sure about his fit on this team, but I reckon there's worse options.

Dhali tweeted out yesterday that JG and tanev are the Canucks top 2 targets

neither has signed after having had their rights traded…

I suspect there's a real good chance both make it to free agency and at least seriously entertain signing with us. Both are at the point where the right fit may trump a bit more cash elsewhere, and  JR / PA / RT et al have helped make this team a coveted destination spot for players.

You seriously think the team that lead the entire NHL early this last season without Lindholm or Zadorov is gonna miss the playoffs because we don't acquire Toffoli but get someone else instead?  Talk about finding an argument for the sake of being confrontational.

The good playoff performers actually maintain close to their regular season production.  Check out Debrusk for example.

Would be if it didn’t include Slowfoli.

Then let's take Skinner since there's already familiarity with Ruthie... Hope he'll take a one year $3M

It is possible:

If-

Petey, once again, shows up for half a season

Hronek, once again, shows up for half a season

Joshua regresses

J.T.  goes back into pout mode

Demko gets injured- yet again.

They don't find a physical presence to mitigate the loss of Zads.

---------------------------------------------

I'm waiting till pre season to make any predictions; too many variables, as of yet.

And we don't sign anymore players with the $14M+ remaining in cap space.

Everything went right for van last year, even with demkos injury.  Things could easily go south on them this coming year.  And teams are getting better this coming year too

Parity in the league means any team is in danger, every year

Some teams get better some teams get worse. Same as every year.

Winnipeg fans have very bad reviews for playoff Toffoli. He’s slow and doesn’t hit. Doesn’t have the juice to step it up a notch! He got pushed into their bottom 6 because he wasn’t effective! Much rather go for Arvidsson or Debrusk than Toffoli.

I don't think any playoff teams in the West are going to be worse and Utah is going to be significantly better

Ok this tell us that the canucks will be a playoff team because they were the 3rd best team in the west and like you said the playoff teams arent going to be worse.

Or are you the typical pessimistic type of canucks fan and think they going worse for sure?
