Here’s a good list of the top 75 free agents. It’s from June 30th, and there’s a few names on there that have since signed, such as Tanev, nonetheless it’s a good list. In my opinion there’s quite a few gems on there that the Canucks just might target. One player that a lot of us have been sleeping on IMO is Arvidsson.

Toffoli is new #1, Marchessault/Stamkos #2/3, Taravainen maybe #4.... I don't know without Guentzel being on the market, Toffoli feels like the clear #1 than everyone else.

As far as some depth options, I really like Kevin Stenlund & am intrigued by Kasperi Kapanen. Stenlund is a great PKer that has size & can play C. Kapanen adds speed & potentially some upside. Bringing Tyler Motte back would be awesome too.

Also curious to see where Jason Zucker lands, if he's willing to take a cheap deal I'd be interested in rolling the dice on him as a top 9 offensive option. Same goes for Tomas Tatar.

I guess time will tell but it really sucks Guentzel is off the market, I really had a feeling he was coming here.

Edit: I forgot to mention Taylor Raddysh. Big, fast & has some skill. Showed some promise with Chicago when he first came over in the Brandon Hagel trade.

Could be the next Joshua-type, I'd love to take a flyer on him.

I'm usually always excited for free agency, but this is genuinely the most excited I've been for it in a long time. Sort of feels like the reverse of 2011 when we added Hamhuis to push us over the top, but this time getting a top six forward or two would send us to the next tier.

Shout out to Vancouver for getting mentioned twice here 🤣

only twice?  Player name I assume and Chaos Giraffe I see in the title but what about he who shall not be named, he was worse than the other 2 combined.
I don’t think putting the Chaos Giraffe there is fair, he gave us one good year, the other two didn’t even bother with that.

Dont like Friedman, nor these predictions. Canucks miss out on all

Viktor Arvidsson: Heard Edmonton was going to try, but lots of interest.

Anthony Beauvillier: Pittsburgh.

Laurent Brossoit or Anthony Stolarz: Toronto.

William Carrier: Dallas.

Ian Cole: Utah.

Jake DeBrusk: I picked Seattle from the start, have to stick with it.

Brenden Dillon: New Jersey.

Matt Duchene: Dallas.

Joel Edmundson: Los Angeles or Ottawa.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Toronto was chasing hard.

Warren Foegele: Los Angeles.

Elias Lindholm: Boston.

Jordan Martinook: Chicago.

Sean Monahan: Columbus or Winnipeg.

Brandon Montour: I thought Utah, but now I'm not as certain. A lot of teams like his fire. Seattle is looking for more offence and is believed to be in the mix.

Brett Pesce: New Jersey.

Matt Roy: Washington.

Jeff Skinner: Seattle, but a lot of options.

Brady Skjei: Nashville.

Kevin Stenlund: Utah.

Chandler Stephenson: Nashville most likely, if not, Seattle or St. Louis.

Chris Tanev: Toronto (around six years at $4.5M AAV).

Teuvo Teravainen: Rangers or Chicago.

Tyler Toffoli: I thought Los Angeles or Rangers, but a few sources think San Jose snares him to entice Macklin Celebrini.

Yakov Trenin: Minnesota.

Sean Walker: If Florida’s defence is decimated by losing Ekman-Larsson and Montour, I could see them making a hard pitch.

Nikita Zadorov: Boston.

Tyler Bertuzzi: Chicago.

Sam Carrick: Rangers.

Please God just stop playing hard ball and offer Z another 350k -500k get it done!

With Guentzel, Tanev off the table, even Bertuzzi (low chance they were in) there's ;

Debrusk, Toffoli, Skinner? (Meh) Maybe a cheap 1 yr deal. If Tofu wants 6 well rather go with a mid term on Debrusk or Monahan. 3/4 years max "Terror Vine in" probably staying put. Let's at least go back next season with a great D line up. Top six find looks like a long shot now. Fingers crossed Podz shows up and maybe a late season Lekkermaki can join us. Hogs has to take another step!

They are both at the top of the page list. The list without them is from Friedman.

Maybe there's something up Allvin's sleeves or we sign some bargain deals and trade for the top six. Problem with landing the bigger fish is you gotta overpay other teams, we have the worst travel.

One more big contract like Guentzel would have made the next two years a lot more difficult to navigate also... Someone with two years left and possibly younger might be the better approach!

I love Z and hate the possibility of losing him but he’s just not worth the money he’s allegedly asking for. That’s not how you win championships. That’s how we got stuck with Loui Eriksson and the OEL buyout.

Could we end up in a situation, where no move would be the right move?

Have a lot of cap space, and maybe do some dealings instead?

This could very well be the plan b if we were not getting Guentzel. I'd take another swing at Zadorov but I feel that ship sailed

z is in his prime not past it like the other two names you got there. Big difference, guys like him you keep to win championships. Why go pay 4 M 1.5 less for a guy 4 years older?
