How does Vegas get involved? They need to shed 20mil+
What do you see would be a logical deal involving Vegas? Are you thinking a 3 way trade with retention in the middle and Vegas getting Mik dirt cheap as a roster spot?

Really not a fan of the retention. I would've preferred we not get any return at all if it meant we give up the full salary, but I guess that wasn't an option. Ah well, as with all these moves it depends on what we do with the cap space in order to judge it fairly. 

 

If it's a 2nd, Mikhy (15% retained), Lafferty for Guentzel at 9.5x7 and a fourth, then it's much easier to swallow than if we only use it to re-sign our own guys.

No to Toffoli.  He will finally want some term so he stops being trade a deadline chip. He is too slow for this forward group, and woukd rather find someone with a bit more size.
