I don't get the doom and gloom. Again, we were a top five team overall at the end of November before we made any trades. DeBrusk/Heinen/Sherwood add some speed and physicality that will make us better than last year.

Fine with everything so far but jury is still out on Debrusk. Not sold and need to dig a little deeper. Big gamble for a middle six forward that appears to be inconsistent. Seems to step up in the playoffs however.

It’s not the greatest position to be in if that is something you really have to rely on. 

Again, one more quality D-man and I’d give them a B grade for the Free Agency.

I thought Alvin wanted to play a bunch of our fwd prospects this year. 

 

Tough I'm happy with the Heinen and Sherwood signings. Our D has a massive hole again. One they just fixed.

The Canucks have so far, stayed away from the very expensive free agents and went for more depth and mid-level personnel which is refreshing. Think they still need to address a 2nd pairing defenseman - maybe this goes via a trade route.  Still would like another gritty tough fourth liner to complement DJ in the bottom 6.

 

Losing Big Z for the 5M disappointing - at least he's in the Eastern conference though.
