JR/PA...if you plan on resigning (extending) Boeser please do it this offseason.

That's true.  Clearly PA/JR aren't done yet.  There's nearly $4M in cap remaining.

PA and JR definitely not done.  But for the first time in forever, we have cap into free agency!  Some flexibility!  There will be some great deals to be had between now and regular season for teams up against it and need to shed a contract for cap flexibility and we will get great value for pennies on a dollar.  This to me is a new era in canucks hockey that will allow us to compete for years to come.

Debrusk is an upgrade over Kuzmenko
Forbort can match what Cole brought
Sherwood I think can be an upgrade over Lafferty

Heinen should be an upgrade over Mikheyev

 

We made some small upgrades. Got younger and faster.

 

Our D still needs work though to even match what we had last season. I’m hoping they have a trade in the works that can raise the overall ceiling.

they might have to trade your username to take advantage of that cap space.

It's interesting,  Bertuzzi and DeBrusk both sign for 5.5 million. I would take DeBrusk any day of the week over Bertuzzi at that rate.

By all accounts, Marchand is a fantastic teammate and players love playing with him. He's only really a guy you hate when he's not on your team.
