He could still improve but he's looking like he will at least be a bottom 6 NHL'er. Imagine if Canucks get Glass. Glass + Pettersson everyone will finally be happy Reinhart and Bennett, same draft class, youll never know? Glass wont be too pricey. Im open to having a spot for reclaimation project

Trade another asset to get rid of a another Benning contract? Im not saying we should trade Garland but hes rebuilt his value. Joshua played a huge part in Garlands year, and we saw how Garland looked with Joshua injured, garls struggled. If there was an opening to get off that contract it would be now. Remember too, Boeser is up next season, would you risk having that 5 mill tied up to a guy that may struggle at the expense of not signing youre leading goal scorer on ur top line? Don Brodka Jr
Pfft! Just look at all of that extra cap space Vancouver would have right now had Benning drafted Glass over Pettersson! Thanks again Jimbo, You prick!

I mentioned this before, but Garland's production struggled initially after Joshua went down. But it also skyrocketed to near point per game for like a 7 or 8 game stretch too. Also while Joshua was down. So overall his production was more or less the same without Joshua as it was with Joshua. I am all for moving Garly for cap space. But at the same time, he's not dependant on Joshua for production. It just helps that they have amazing chemistry.

And he is 500k to 1m more then we can sign Bluegar for. So I would argue you pay twice, buddy.

Joshua and Garland have great chemistry together and for sure Joshua helped Garland, but the stats show that Garland's play remained at a pretty high level with or without Dak. Joshua's stats without Garland were nowhere near as good as they were with him.

Before he got hurt , he was very noticeable the games he played against us. He was being penciled in as part of the future there. And there was even offer sheet talk. We should have done the same with Nichuskin. Edited Wednesday at 03:59 PM by Blue
Blue
We could have both Glass and Petey. Just like we could have had Horvat and Nichuskin. Big "busteroo" Nichuskin. But Sakic picked him up and won a cup with him. Wtf are the downsides even ? He'd be easy to get off of if he doesn't work. And the upside is a solid #2 or 3c. And some Saskatchewan to go with our Stockholm Edited Wednesday at 04:12 PM by Blue

I think it’s the other way around. Joshua had a good year because Garland set him up in front for wide open looks. Now it does take skill to finish those chances and that’s why Garland struggled a bit when Joshua was out because Blueger, Suter and every guy they tried in Joshua’s spot when he was injured were less effective scoring on those wide open looks. Garland to me looks fine when he’s in the top 6 and is creating like he did for Joshua but for better players. I think you just move Garland up and that’s a cheaper fix on 1 of the 2 top 6 forward spots they need to figure out this summer.
