Happy birthday to Alex Mogilny, member of the 2000 Stanley Cup run! : r/devils

Eight 30+ goal seasons including one 40+, one 50+ and 76 goals.

Over 1000 points in his career.

I don't disagree

Maybe next year, or the year after that, or the year after that

Jeremy Roenick...bodes well for my boys Bernie Nicholls and Theo Fleury.  Weber might bode well eventually for Randy Carlyle.

Colin Campbell...hey finally someone from the 82 Canucks.

They certainly could have inducted a 4th player...be it Nicholls, Fleury, Brind'Amour, Dave Taylor, Krutov, Ron Hextall, JC Tremblay, Randy Carlyle, Rick Middleton, Neal Broten, Mogilny, Tim Kerr, Brian Propp, Reggie Leach, etc.

I honestly don't think Weber should have gotten in. He was a good player, but I don't put him as one of the greats.

But seems like the Hall of Fame has lost some of its meaning and is easier to get in.

Five times top 4 for the Norris, post-season All Star 4x.  That would probably do the job I think in any era.

It's not Coffey or Bourque level but not out of line with Housley, Zubov etc.

heh, I *still* remember "OT Campbell" from 1982.  I've moved on past the stuff he did at NHL HQ.😊

People gotta remember it's the HHOF too, not the NHLHOF.

Weber brings two Olympic golds, a World Championship gold and silver, a Canada Cup gold, and a World Junior gold to the table as well.

Yeah that's why I mentioned Krutov.  Those Olympics go a long way for Weber...and Luuuuuu.

Campbell's fellow 82 Canuck Ivan Hlinka may still have hope.

Yeah the guy still did us more good than harm over the years I think in the final analysis.

But my goodness...Campbell in the HHOF before King Richard even gets the ROH.

Congratulations to Utah for having their first player in franchise history inducted into the HoF! Now if Utah can convince him to wear their colours for the induction…:hurhur:

Absolute crime Mogilny is not in

I think he will be the next "Barrasso / Vernon / Roenick / Turgeon / Doug Wilson / Vachon) making up for old oversights induction.  Maybe him and Theo.

Theo I get right or wrong there is a lot of baggage there but Mogilny is straight up ridiculous

There was baggage with Barrasso and Glenn Anderson and Fuhr and now Roenick among others.  I think Theo's story adds much more to his legacy than it takes away.

Mogilny like Barrasso was just not that well liked...but I don't care about that stuff.
