How is that? Huberdough is on a serious decline and a .5 ppg softy who plays horrible defensively. Petey is just entering his prime, is a ppg player, and is excellent defensively.

Yes but we have to find him someone to play with for some reason. Players making that kind of $ are supposed to make players around them better. Hopefully he's learned from these playoffs about where he needs to be physically and mentally next spring.

If there is one area that I am skeptical about JR/PA's decision making, it would be how they handle expensive wingers.

They extened Boeser and Kuzmenko in expensive contracts, and they already tried to trade the players mid way through the season.

They acquired Mikheyev and Beauvillier as "middle six", but they didnt perform well and the return values were low.

But wasn't Beauvillier a first round pick?

Bouviller covered for Mikeyev on the top lines when he was injured and played pretty well. He was out scoring and then keeping up with Horvat for awhile. That's when the "not bad for a cap dump" jokes were happening. He just got really cold and couldn't snap out of it

In defense of Mikeyev , he could do everything but finish. Solid 2 way defensive play. Got lots of chances , created space on the ice. His intuit injury fuct him. And he knew it. That's why he was basically crying in his shut down presser
