And even better in the playoffs. Foote and Gonchar have done a great job with him. He can be a solid bottom pairing guy in his 3rd year. Shows you Allvins priority and when you think about it, he's absolutely right Hronek Friedman (outlier) Blueger Joshua Myers Lindholm and Zadorov priced themselves out of the line up and they're really only luxuries in the line up. Cole, I think is past his prime. All of the signed players did so at reasonable numbers. If Lindholm and Zadorov want to do the same, then great. Wing Posted June 28 Share Posted June 28 If puckpedia is accurate, it looks like Joshua's contract has a modified NTC, which probably helped to negotiate a slightly lower AAV. And in contrast to what i first heard on 650, Myer's contract doesn't actually have any movement clauses? If true then it makes a bit more sense to give him the third year. Provost Posted June 28 Share Posted June 28 I think this was a spot to save some cap. We still need two 2nd pairing guys and Soucy-Juulsen is a fine 3rd pairing. They have earned the trust to see what it all looks like, but this is the first not great signing of the offseason for me. Injuries happen but I am sick of term, money and roster spots being committed to players that play like half the year if at all.. This team has been hampered by that way way to often. I think Soucy/Myers at 6ish million is a fantastic THIRD pair on a deep contending team.. with tons of size, veterans and good enough defensively.
