Avs have 7 forwards signed for next year 4 D and just $10.466 mill in cap space. https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/avalanche taking $3m to pay to Jonathan would be very tough to do, imo. Probably why it's rumoured that Colton is on the trade block. Landeskog and O'Connor are also just on IR... not LTIR, so they probably expect them back. So they have 9 forwards under contract. Move out Colton and they have 8 under contract with 14M to work with...
