Haha 1 more pick we woulda had a goalie for sure! The goalie would have caught right too

Ideally I like to see us draft an entire line every draft with what ever needs we have getting drafted earlier and with extra picks.

It helps your overall depth.

Nice when it works out like that. I do like the way we have been drafting lately though

If they were going to pick a Swedish winger I would have gone for Alex Zetterberg at this point in the draft over Fernström

He’s small so it might be the reason why they didn’t take him.

It seems noone took Alex this draft.

He went undrafted which I didn't expect. I think he can overcome his size with his skill and compete level.

He'll be joining Willander at BU next season. A name to keep an eye on for sure!

It would be nice if Allvin could get him to Abby later.
I like to have more players from home there.

Hallelujah!  Finally picking some positional needs!  And from the WHL even!  (at least for one of them)

Don't know if this was ever posted but thought it was interesting.    https://canucksarmy.com/news/ranking-top-10-late-round-draft-picks-vancouver-canucks-history

Person missed out on at least giving an honorable mention (as they didn't even play a single game for us) to Dirk Graham who won the Selke trophy.  Was a 5th round pick.

Graham, then a prospect was dealt for Curt Fraser (so it wasn't like it was a complete waste).

Fraser is exactly the type of player this team needs.

A forward that did everything, hit, scored, got his assists- and very, very, few could out fight him.

Clone the guy 3 times and sign all of them.

What an all rookie line that was!  Gradin centering Smyl & Fraser.

Not to mention Mike Rogers, who the Canucks selected in the 5th round in 1974.  He jumped to Hartford of the WHA instead of signiing with the Canucks.  Then when the WHA merged with the NHL in 1979, the Canucks could have taken him back, but decided not to.  That was because his ex-Hartford coach Harry Neale, who had just been hired by the Canucks, didn't think Rogers at at 5'8" could survive in the NHL.  He went on to have three 100+ point seaons for Hartford (in the NHL) and the Rangers and is one of the Canucks' highest scoring (but least remembered) draft picks ever.
