Mike Vanderhoek
10 minutes ago, Rush said: Other GM's sleeping on good talent apparently. Too many sleeping GMs in this league. Several teams have a lot of work to do and appear to be asleep at the wheel or just inactive which is a shame as all members have been active on this site at the least. Popular Post Mike Vanderhoek
59 minutes ago, Honkin Hronek said: He took a lot less money to play there He had 6 suitors. Of all interested parties this signing means the player gets more than 3 years ( which he wanted ), a top six role ( was an expectation ), over $ 6m per ( was another expectation ), the role or fit was available upon signing ( a must ), the successful team did not need to bump other top six performers down the lineup creating turmoil or a logjam and the successful team was not needing to work on a trade or trades to create cap or role for the player. Add in the Player Relations element as well and the player found the right fit. I would be remiss if I didn't say, this off season tough decisions were made and RFAs were offer sheeted because they did not have a fit on their current club with a logjam of top six talent, being offered such roles on competing clubs. It would be ass-backwards of me to then sign a UFA to a team bumping young talent down the lineup out of position. Best fit won out. 3 1

The starting goaltender who was 6th in games played last season and 10th in save percentage is still looking for the best possible fit at a fair deal. A multi year deal in and around the $5 million + per range is the expectation. * THERE ARE OVER HALF A DOZEN TEAMS WITH NO STARTING GOALTENDERS in this league at current and there are several more teams with 10s of millions of cap space with very thin rosters. To ANA: Mark Stone To CGY: Lawson Crouse The Ducks are thrilled to welcome Mark Stone to the Ducks organization. We felt adding such a role model would be fantastic for the development of young Adam Fantilli. We now have a complete 2 way winger who can help mentor and assist the growth of our young center. We remain open for business and will likely need a Top 4 (ideally top pair) defenseman since Torey Krug is likely out for the remainder of the season. We were quite excited to add Lawson a few weeks back but this deal only makes sense for the direction of our club. We wish to be competitive in year 1 and we feel this move could be to our benefit. We have around 5m in cap space remaining not including potential LTIR money with Krug. We are open to spending it if it makes sense without sacrificing to much future talent. PROJECTED LINES Vladimir Tarasenko - Adam Fantilli - Mark Stone Jaden Schwartz - Rikard Rakell - Eeli Tolvanen Drew O'Connor - Adam Lowry - Yegor Chinakhov Warren Foegele - Nicolas Roy - Jordan Greenway Casey Cizikas Torey Krug - Colton Parayko Ryan McDonagh - Ryan Pulock Nicolas Hague - Dante Fabbro Josh Mahura Samuel Ersson Semyon Varlamov Looking for a top 4 (ideally top pair dman). Open to moving second, third round picks and maybe a prospect or two on the cusp. An upgrade in goal would also be welcomed if we can land a playoff bound tender. Popular Post Mike Vanderhoek
FREE AGENCY As GML Free Agency winds down, the league saw its most active July in years if not in it's history since inception back in 2009. With more than double last year's total number of signings between July and October, this year we saw over 150 player contracts handed out with several more still to trickle in over the off season. All but two member clubs placed offers on Free Agent players and a total of five clubs have not signed any players out of the Free Agent market thus far. As the market is now squeezed of all it's low hanging fruit, the challenge to sign and add more players who can contribute at the NHL level gets more difficult. To those not taking part in Free Agency and are still needing to add significant numbers of players you are not doing yourselves any favors waiting things out. I really cannot stress enough the importance of not leaving yourself short handed before its too late. Ownership has eyes on their GMs and expects the standard of at least building a capable NHL roster by Training Camp. A big thank you to all the members of GML for an exciting and active Free Agent season. I can be reached here or on discord along with most of our Agents as well as volunteer group if you have any questions or need any help with anything. To the teams a little too quiet right now, feel free to shoot me a pm or reach out and let me know if I can help in any way. Thanks everybody! 6

JIAHN
The Dallas Stars are proud to announce that they are nearing completion of their 2024-2025 line-up. We believe that several of our minor league affiliated players may push for a job this year, and are looking forward to seeing a very competitive training camp. Brady Tkachuk Leo Carlsson Timo Meier Boone Jenner Joel Eriksson Ek Luke Evangelista Nick Paul Cody Glass Daniel Sprong Sam Steel Shane Wright Luke Kunin Cal Clutterbuck Gustav Forsling Luke Hughes Jusso Valimaki Travis Sanheim Ian Cole Josh Brown XXXXXX Jack Johnson Jordan Binnington Lukas Dostal Further to this, Matt Murray has been added, for playoff insurance, as the Stars are hoping for a complete recovery, and in such, will have a difficult decision to make, if the recovery is 100% successful. We consider this a good problem and will allow Matt every chance to make the big club, when ready to do so! The Following players are expected to push for jobs this year from our minor team affiliate............... Bennan Othmann (F) Mavrick Bourque (F) Denton Mateychuk (D) Scott Morrow (D) Helge Grans (D) Other Top prospects that will be given a close eye are............... Michael Hrabal (G) Sam Dickenson (D) Cole Beaudoin (F) Other notable prospects......................... Dylan Duke, Ilya Fedotov, Gleb Trikozov, Colton Dach, Evan Barrett, Michal Teply, Julian Lutz, Elias Pettersson, and Carson Bjarnason will be watched closely this year to see if they are ready to push for jobs down the road. Note* There are others that will push also, as the force their names further up the list! In conclusion, The Dallas Stars would like to thank their fans for their patience, with our 1 1/2 year rebuild. We feel very optimistic in the upcoming year, and hope our fans do too!. JIAHN is still looking for opportunities to improve the club for this year and the future, but not be selling the farm, unless the right deal comes along. Now............... LET'S PLAY HOCKEY!
