Cody Ceci: $10.5 million dollar contract ($3,500,000 per season) Well we got two of our three targets on the blue line, and while we aren't paying Brent Burns money on the AAV's, the combined 8.4m for these two fine gents is perfect for our organizational needs. With 239 and 233 fantasy points last season, they represent an upgrade on our combined depth D last season. While rotating in and out of the lineup our depth D only managed 214 points combined while occupying two of our Defensive roster spots for a full season. It is one of several micro improvements we are targeting this year. Adding Matthew Barzal up front and Ivan Provorov to shore up for the loss of Gustav Forsling and Boone Jenner is another micro improvement when simply analyzing points. We also recently added via trade Damon Severson to the back end, and his 243 points last year. Seattle is not done, but we feel we have bridged the gap between us and a playoff spot as it was before the trade deadline. I feel Seattle is an overall improved club from this point in time last year. Our one year dip from the playoffs will hopefully be just that, a one off.
