Pierre's a very good statesman, perhaps you should give him a listen before turning him off after 5 seconds.

Nothing he's said over the course of his career has done anything to suggest he's anything more than a worthless piece of shit.

Are you referring to Justin or Pierre?

The phrases were wrong but we need to call out all hate like that the anti-semitic billboard truck that rolled around Toronto.

By all means. Post the story and I'm positive most of the board will do just that.

Not long ago, I posted a story about a couple of scumbags shooting at a Jewish school. I don't recall you weighing in, although you may not have been around at the time.

Too late--- way, way, too late.

Well at least he admitted that those responsible belong in prison after his argument that others also belong in prison.  Still pretty sickening to defend this kind of bigotry for any reason.

Instead of despair he's giving Canadians hope.  Something that has been missing in Canada for a very long time.

What hope is he giving Canadians?

A good statesman?  By hugging individuals that promote anti LGBTQ and anti immigrant videos on a web page and saying keep up the good work?

A good statesman?  By saying first Nations should stop whining and go to work.  Ya he said that with no hint of irony having never held a job.

A good statesman?  By hanging out with and agreeing with people who occupied the national capital demanding the overthrow of the elected government because they didn't like the results?

A good statesman?  Who votes in favour of barbaric practices bills and against travel for people of certain ethnicities/religions?

What is a good statesman again?  What hope again?

I have listened and I have read.  There is hope but there is also false hope.  I believe PP delivers more of the latter than the former.

Don't be this guy.

Look at his comments.  Way past that point.  Look what kind of baited question he just posted in the Ukrainian conflict thread.

Way way too late

Liberals plan talks to launch school food program before end of next school year

OTTAWA — The government hopes to see kids eating meals under a universal, national school food program before the end of the next school year, but it will take time for organizations to scale up their operations, the families minister said Thursday.

Fantastic news, I question the humanity of anyone who'd argue against such a program. Lot of kids grow up hungry, and going to school hungry absolutely affects one's ability to learn, amongst other psychological and physiological affects.

Addressing food insecurity is a worthy pursuit.

I grew up in a lower income household and regularly ate school lunches, sometimes it was the only option I had even if they didn't necessary taste great. Brown bag lunches were often pretty simple, but they beat going hungry.

"Feed your own kid" will be the CPC messaging on this, in one form or another.

This is the hate being sowed by PP

We don't hear of non conservatives attacking conservatives and their supporters..... The hate is one directional and intentional

Red hat and everything.

Mendicino handed it like a gentleman.

Sure, that's all true, but his wife is from Venezuela so it's all cool.

"Five local organizations will receive support so they can mentor young women and men in terms of implementing nature-based solutions and adapting to climate change using gender-sensitive methods, even outside the project.  The project’s beneficiaries, who will receive training on positive masculinity, are estimated to be over 5,000 men"

$10 million, good to see the liberals taking climate change and positive masculinity in the Congo seriously.

Surprised PP didn’t show up for pictures and handshakes and tell them what a great job they’re doing. More in the link.

And yes they were part of the Freedom Convoy.

‘Save the Children Convoy’ Finally Ends, Leaving Farmer With Piles of Garbage, Rancid Food and Unpaid Bills

Leaders of conspiratorial ‘Save the Children Convoy’ end year-long protest by accusing one another of ‘smear campaigns’ and ‘disgraceful’ behaviour

by Luke LeBrun, Editor

As first reported by PressProgress last year, the Save the Children Convoy was a far-right movement that revolved around anti-LGBTQ paranoia, pedophile conspiracies, secret plans to jail politicians and replace Canada’s democratically-elected government.

The convoy group’s belief system was equally complicated, drawing inspiration from dizzying sources like QAnon, New Age spirituality and sovereign citizen ideologies.

You really cherry picked the lines from that link to come up with what you did.  Congratulations, that must have been a bit of work!

The Women in Action project aims to increase climate change adaptation among vulnerable girls and women in the agricultural and forestry sectors in Sud- and Nord-Kivu, with benefits in terms of the conservation and restoration of forest biodiversity. Project activities include: (1) developing and equipping sites for climate-smart agricultural and agroforestry practices and nature-based restoration solutions; (2) providing protected-area managers, community leaders and private operators with training on positive masculinity and gender-based violence, and supporting the establishment of mechanisms to protect the rights of young women and women; and (3) providing technical support to forest concessions in local communities in terms of developing and monitoring simple management plans that prioritize the conservation and restoration of biodiversity, and supporting young women’s and women’s adaptation to climate change. The project’s beneficiaries, who will receive training on positive masculinity, are estimated to be over 5,000 men. In addition, the living conditions and food security of over 30,000 household members, young women and women will improve. Five local organizations will receive support so they can mentor young women and men in terms of implementing nature-based solutions and adapting to climate change using gender-sensitive methods, even outside the project.
