Well maybe they just don't agree with much of what you've said in the pages of this thread.   I have to say I don't either.

I also have to side with those who are asking you to explain your opinions in just a bit more detail rather than just dropping chirps and moving on.

That's not to say I don't respect you, your opinions, or your right to express them.

You don't fit into any box or otherwise because you don't actually have any opinions of your own.  You have the right to express it but you just don't.

The strangest things bother you, that's an opinion, expressed.

Probably can't say "don't"... @5forFighting very likely has some opinions of his own. They sure aren't expressing or defending them very clearly or intelligently on CFF though.

Regurgitated, drive by tweets/youtube videos of right wing "gotchas" makes for poor arguments and discussion.

There's just so much leftist media out there man you can't trust any news

Except Rebel

Let's look at some of Rebel Medias greatest hits starting with an overview of their staff

https://firstmonday.org/ojs/index.php/fm/article/view/12546/10700

Then let's see how their leader admits to not being a media outlet or journalist to avoid being sued for defamation and slander.

https://nationalpost.com/opinion/christie-blatchford-unrepentant-ezra-levant-pleads-fair-comment-in-theatrical-testimony

Only to then go on and have his lawyer claim he made comments in another lawsuit as a fair system of reporting as a journalist just 2 years later

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/ezra-levant-free-speech-advocate-applies-to-resign-from-legal-profession-1.3461396

The Law Society of Alberta initially dismissed Chak's complaint without a hearing. A complaints reviewer said there was no reasonable chance a hearing panel would find Levant breached the society's code of conduct, citing Levant's argument that he was acting as a journalist, and not as a lawyer, when he made the statements.

Chak appealed the decision. Levant's lawyer argued his client made the comments as a journalist and had a right to "fair and free comment," and that he should be entitled to criticize because it is not in his capacity as a lawyer. But a conduct committee panel eventually agreed to hold a hearing into the complaint and issued citations related to the complaints of both former human-rights lawyers.

Moving on to some of their greatest hits circa say 2016/2017?

https://pressprogress.ca/17-times-ezra-levants-alt-right-rebel-media-went-completely-off-the-rails-in-2017/

Oh how about we do some irony or low level schadenfreude in which The Rebel sues reporters in to silence because they were offended at being called out and investigated by real journalists

https://www.hilltimes.com/story/2021/02/22/rebel-media-lawsuits-target-journalists-chill-speech-says-reporter-facing-litigation/229085/

Yes.  Every media outlet is way to leftist and can't be trusted.  Except the Rebel and their stable of upstanding and totally qualified individuals

I'm very wary of news these days that generate any sort of emotional response from me. It's more click bait than substance. From both sides of the aisle.

I want my newspaper to be boring again damnit.

"Their brains can't comprehend".  Solid burn there, dude.... :classic_rolleyes:

Meanwhile, some folks can't seem to comprehend that just maybe the cops are playing it safe with CF, since incidents like this one:

Quote

Oh, right there she is. Elliot, that’s Chrystia,” says the woman. The man then approaches Freeland.

"Chrystia!" the man yells, prompting Freeland to turn to greet him.

"What the f—k are you doing in Alberta?" the man asks. "You f—kin' traitor! You f—in' b—ch! Get the f—k out of this province!" he says, continuing a verbal assault.

"You don't belong here," adds the woman, who was with the man.

I remember the video someone posted of this incident....this asshat went back out to his truck (natch) and acted like he had just scored the Cup winning goal.

If they are trying to keep her safe, why are they so far away from her as she walks?

I think that cop power tripped, like many do, and was just being an ahole.

He said he arrested the senior citizen for assaulting a police officer. The senior citizen was released without charges.

Seems fishy. Assaulting a police officer would most likely land you in serious trouble.

Video shows a guy with a microphone (faux reporter) being aggressive with an MP. The police officers should have put that guy on the ground. They were too lenient. No one, even a real reporter, should be able to be this aggressive with our elected officials. That old guy is an embarrassment to us other older guys. He needs a good kick in the arse with a frozen boot.

Think what you want. You can't deny what happened to her in Grande Prairie, or that it might have heightened the response for anyone designated to protect her.

And as someone who's just over 2 years away from being an official senior citizen myself, the "reporter's" age is irrelevant. At 63 I'm still capable of delivering a hip check and dropping the gloves, if the situation dictates....

Please show me where in that video he was being aggressive with her? That is insanely laughable at best. Don't care about his politics, this was an egregious overstep by the RCMP and the fact the officer is being investigated shows just that.

Dang, this guy being keeping cops busy for a while now. F*ck Trudeau! …oh sorry, F*ck Scheer!

Far-right website Rebel Media removed from Conservative campaign stop by police

Andrew Scheer’s team pulls the plug on far-right website at a campaign event in Whitby.

WHITBY—It took two police forces on Monday to get the far-right Rebel Media escorted as far as possible from Andrew Scheer.

The expulsion began with an RCMP officer, part of the Conservative leader’s personal security detail, gently nudging Rebel News correspondent David Menzies away from the gaggle of media and out into a corridor as reporters awaited Scheer’s arrival.

Then, having reached the border of its jurisdiction — and with Menzies vocally holding court in the hallway, demanding his right to report — the Mounties called in the Durham Regional Police, which finished the job, banishing the rebel to a sidewalk at the outer edge of Whitby’s state-of-the-art Abilities Centre.
