If the reporter was out of line, which he was not, then step him to the side and let the minister move on. The minister was under no physical threat. Please do Aging demographic, pandemic, climate change, war in Ukraine, global supply chain issues, corporate profiteering, Israel... Are all largely responsible for the bulk of our current inflation. How many of those are the fault of Trudeau/the Liberals? About the only big cost of living thing you can pin on the Liberals is not replacing CMHC funding for public housing cancelled 3 decades ago. Something the Cons also failed at when they were in power during that period. With that 3 decades of public housing, we're likely in a better place (though probably still not "cheap") for housing costs. And as Jimmy pointed out, the interest rates aren't even "insane" by historical standards. The problem is the size of the mortgages required. Then even a small increase in interest causes a huge spike in costs. Again, a problem BOTH parties have done nothing about for 3 decades.
