lol, i just couldn't figure out why you were quoting me talking about bill C-65 with a copied quote from a completely unaffiliated totally different bill. I got it now, thanks for the clarification.

sorry I thought the discussion was around the differences between the two bills.

C65 seems well thought out and targeted. S-210 from the con's is clearly not well thought out, either in application or potential consequences.

my buddy forgot to log out of his secure compartmentalized desk working on russian subs once, so i flipped his lats and longs to teach him a lesson, he then went on to report over a live IRC to about 7000 global five eyes secret squirrels that a sub formerly on the other side of the world was in the Caspian Sea. I never laughed so hard..then got in so much shit before in my life. it was a roller coaster of emotion. hahaha

DND suspends contracts with ArriveCan contractor after learning CEO is a DND employee

https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/dnd-suspends-contracts-with-arrivecan-contractor-after-learning-ceo-is-a-dnd-employee-1.6788617

"Due to the serious nature of the concerns raised, DND is launching an internal investigation into the matter," a departmental spokesperson told CTV News in an email.

"The individual has been suspended while this investigation is underway. We are in the process of suspending contracts with Dalian."

The spokesperson also told CTV News the investigation would be completed in a timely manner but didn't specify how long that would be.

"We take these concerns very seriously and the internal investigation will be thorough…," she wrote.

And the plot thickens

Pharmacare-bill introduced:

"

Health Minister Mark Holland has tabled the legislation to create the framework for a national single-payer pharmacare program Thursday afternoon.

This legislation is a key piece of the supply and confidence agreement that sees the NDP support the Liberals on confidence votes in exchange for advancing key priorities including pharmacare.

The algorithm just drops in the porn everywhere.  My preteen and all of his buddies had some off stuff drop in their snapchat.  There's enough porn on the internet if you are looking for it.  Clean it up so there's less unintentional access.

Well here is a way...don't give your kid devices with access for an app that is straight up designed to exchange content that disappears. That is like blaming others when your kid orders drugs on signal or whatsapp...

You know almost everything ive ever been sent on snap is a woman sending me nudes...like c'mon..

Would we tolerate someone fastening porn images to the side of your house, car or in regular mail as a flyer?  On the side of a bus or Billboard?  Do parents need to be aware of what their kids are doing online, certainly but if we are living in the metaverse there is no need for it to be more perverse than general society or the unsavory stuff is regulated like consciously going into a strip club or adult store.  The internet is very much the wild west and whether people like it or not that will evolve.

When you give your kid a phone you connect them to the entire planet. Even if Canada locked down everything under its control, it's just a tiny squib of what your kid can access.

I'm not saying that this is not an issue that should fully investigated to determine who did what and when.  I will say that was a pretty politically motivated description of the events and one designed to make a bad situation sound as absolutely bad as it could possibly be.  Bigly bad.

Now let's look into the Republican party and where the cons are getting their funding from.

with a proper add campaign the NDP will pick up support, and likely win a few more ridings.

The people that like Pharmacare and Dental care will know that without the NDP pushing, the Libs wouldn't have done it.

They will also likely realize that the Conservatives would never do it, and might actually try to kill Pharmacare and Dental care, if they get a majority.

Exactly.  I'm not sure why people would expect him to stop cooperating when he's getting productive legislation put through.  As much as our local NDP MP sucks, I'd consider voting for them in the upcoming election as a result of this.
