🤣  Okay, if you say so…

It takes one to know one.  Trust me.  I'm the guy who bragged in this thread about finding a good deal on cans of tuna.  You're just a different level of cheap than I am.

Just because you purchase cans of tuna at a lower cost than if you went to a big grocery chain, it doesn’t make you cheap.  It makes you frugal and careful as to how you spend your money as you are on a budget.  You shouldn’t sell yourself short.

Someone who is cheap is someone who has money but tries to rip off other people anyways.  Like going to the Keg for a $60 steak but then only tipping 5%.  That’s being cheap.

Warren Buffet lives in the same house that he bought in 1958.  Does that make him cheap?  No, it shows he doesn’t care about living in a mansion even though he can afford one.  He chooses to spend his money on other more important items.

I'm cheap because I know I'm cheap.  Frugal, or whatever you want to call it.  I don't care.  It's not an admirable quality of mine, but that's who I am.

You are also being cheap about this.  You're the one who chooses to keep going out and paying for overpriced goods and services.  The Keg isn't full of guests who are complaining about high prices.  They just eat, pay up and go about their day.  You are probably the only one grumbling on about "future generations" while munching on your T-bone or sitting as the jets wash the underside of your vehicle.

It's such a dumb argument, dude.  You've been ridiculed by just about everyone here in this thread about your steak and carwash and your weird group dinners.  It's a running gag at this point.

Have you ever asked yourself why this is the case?  If you haven’t figured out the reason why then I can’t really help you.  You will need to learn it the hard way through life.

Let me give you a little hint.  If Trudeau was my guy and I came into this thread glowing about him at every opportunity while calling PP the worst person on earth, do you think any of those posters would be attacking me and ridiculing me about “weird” group dinners and car washes and steaks?  Think about that long and hard.  Because once you understand this simple concept you will have a better understanding of the human mind.

Also, ridiculing a poster about car washes, steaks and “weird” group dinners as you call it has to be the most petty thing I have ever seen on any message board.  It’s like the “cool” group in school bullying the guy sitting in the corner. It’s quite sad and honestly pretty disgusting if you ask me.  Making a joke out of it is totally fine, but when the joke runs through 30 or 40 pages with no end it’s pretty sad really.

I don't know about the others but I give you grief over it because it's not the cool kids ganging up on some poor loner. It's because you use them as some sort of flex that makes you an authority (we've probably all lost count of how many dinners with experts that you claim you were having - and then never followed up with the info you were supposed to attain) or better off than some others here. You are not a victim here, except by your own ego.

You do realize there is more to eating than steak right?  Imagine how criminal it is for a human being to want to enjoy a nice steak at the keg.  🤣

FYI, there are lots of local sushi bars and pasta places that I enjoy to eat around town.  But thanks for the laugh…

Glad you can laugh at your own hypocrisy.  Telling others to support local then whinging about the keg.  You move more goalposts than the ice crew at Roger’s.

You should probably look in the mirror before you judge another human being.

Also, my car wash is literally a local business, so again you have no clue what you are even saying if you think I don’t support small local businesses.

A cheap effort to discredit your thinking by using woke labelling.

The CPC simply gravitates to extremes. Sheer was the 2nd coming of Billy Graham, O'Toole had to be a nazi since he served in the Canadian military and Poilievre has to be the Master Lier as he has convinced 50% of Canadians that Trudeau is incompetent. None of these 3 had anything worth considering. 🙂

In reality tho, all of those guys are bad choices for good reasons. Scheer hid his citizenship and fumbled his response. O'Toole waffled on women's rights ( I don't recall anyone having a problem with his military service), and Skippy does lie.

Yep. Same thing PP will do, except PP will lie about it.

PP is just a rage farmer. He is just bullshiting his way through issues.

Eg remember the election interference stuff? Where is he now on this? Nowhere.

If you came into this thread “glowing”about Trudeau at every opportunity I would question your objectiveness about his government, same as I do now really.

Who doesn't enjoy a nice prime rib classic from the keg, its not a crime to work hard and enjoys your spoils from time to time. For car washes I usually pay a neighbour kid to do it, they do a terrible job but its as small business as it gets.

Me. I don't eat mammals anymore, but even when I did I could always make a better steak on a charcoal grill at home.

I dont know if I trust you make that good of a steak if you dont eat mammals anymore. It comes with garlic mash or twice bake potato, veggies, starter ceasar salad, and bread to start. Their Lobster tail is quite good as well.

If I'm going to spend that much on a steak, I'll spend a little more and go somewhere like Elisa and get something of higher quality.  Difference is that I won't bitch about the price on here.

The good ole days PP claims are coming back under him ...

- peak unionization of our workforce

- balanced laws for business and labour

- strikes are left to play out so the two sides can sort it out

-fancy restaurant meals are the exception and not the norm

- other then business fancy expensive meals where for major life events or celebrations

- we had a good affordable cross Canada passenger train service

- we refined alot of our oil

- we didn't export many raw logs

- we not only.shopped local but bought Canadian made

- we didn't call for the overthrow of governments we didn't like ... We voted them out

- one full time job fed and housed a family

- anyone could afford on one income to enter the housing market. It might be a fixer upper but you could have a house and plant Your garden ... It wasn't that long ago most homes had gardens in Canada

The real good ole days are never coming back

PP is referring to the period following ww1 when we had labor strikes for basic rights and workers owed their soul to the boss. Union organizers were called communists or socialists and strikers beaten

I don't disagree that PP is sincere in his pledge to take us back to a better time .... Too bad that time period is considered a very bad period in our history

Agreed.  Also a time when the right to vote was dependant on the colour of one's skin, and homosexuals could be imprisoned just for being themselves.

I’m in Honolulu at this moment. Prices are a lot higher here than in Vancouver. Bananas are as high as $1.59 USD per pound for example. We found a store that sells them for $1.00US. However, we are costing our home cooked meals at around $3.00 each, and we’re not scrimping on anything. Costco, and Sam’s Club for quantity, and a Chinese market for quality, fresh produce and fruit.
We treated ourselves to brunch at the Kahala Mandarin Resort yesterday, and for the price, $57USD per person, it wasn’t as good as we’ve had in past years. But, the place was packed. The Lido on our last cruise was much better than that brunch.

The Keg is overrated. I like to see what I’m eating, and that prime rib isn’t anything close to what we can prepare at home.
