But the big corps could pay more for those low level jobs. They're making mad profit.

And if Canadians had those jobs, wouldnt we have a bit more housing?

I guess, like I said above, government is a blunt instrument. The numbers don't appear to be that bad and it's being addressed.

Just referring to Ricky's comments on tws and healthcare

I dont know what he said and still dont know what you mean.

The 714 were Tim's hires.  Where you joking as in a strain on the HC system? Is that the 'destroy it' joke?

Edit:  i think that was the joke. So, I googled. Ontario had 41k TFW in 2022.

Yeah, thats why its the topic today.

System seems flawed.

It's also an overblown discussion imo, which should teach us something, whenever Poilievre creates a talking point it's probably bs.

714 workers is  0.5 workers per tims in Ontario.

It was. Ricky was making it sound like tfws are a healthcare problem too, which isn't possible by the numbers.

The problem gets solved real quick with mandatory prison time for the CEO of any company abusing the program.

Having the church groups come in doesnt sound good.

Makes me wonder if they will support MAID etc...

Why is she making it out like the feds running the hospitals and healthcare services into the ground?  She keeps saying "government", like it's not her government she's talking about.

Sounds like the same thing Christy Clark did in BC.,........starve the public system and then point and say "see, we told you public services don't work".

this part is correct at least

My girlfriend is currently off work due to an arm injury. She needs to have forms filled out by a doctor so that she can receive pay while she's off work. She is currently now on day 3 of sitting on hour long holds in hope of getting through to someone so she can book an appointment. So far only to be told nothing is available and to try again tomorrow. So don't give me your garbage right now. It's too early for this.

Seems to be something that should be able to be done by someone other than a doctor, especially with a properly digitized medical database for the province.

I agree. It's ridiculous. But it's government policy and she needs to follow it if she wants to get paid
