So I decided to check and see how Justin's appearance on Colbert went last night. There were several videos available, but most were about his opinion of Canada on the world stage. I listened to what he said and was actually impressed when he declined to comment on Colbert's joke about the safety of our pets, and whether Pollievre is the "Canadian Trump"....

Instead, he focused on the positives, while admitting that the country is going through some challenges, which has affected his popularity and led to the Cons' attempt to force an early election. All in all, a pretty solid  job, considering the tough spot he is in. The Colbert crowd was obviously impressed as well, judging by their reaction....

All of that being said, I wasn't at all surprised to see another video, (further down the list) with the caption, "Justin Trudeau BOMBS on Colbert"....:classic_rolleyes:

TBH, I'm a bit surprised that it hasn't already been posted by our crocodilian friend....:classic_unsure:

Does this sound like MAGA......make America great again?

Poilievre makes case for taking down the government to restore 'promise of Canada'

he has used the phrase "make Canada great again" before. Maybe the US polling has him worried.

He seems pretty happy with himself though.

I suspect he's going to say this is his last election no matter what the outcome.

Well, his dad was 4 terms, so it would make sense that he'd want to match and not exceed his dad's number of terms.

I noticed the subtle shot at career politicians in that 3rd video clip.  :hurhur:

Junior had it easy (re: opposition leaders).  He was like the backup goalie facing the other team's "less than best".  The Eddie Lack of politicians.🥸

Skippy is just such a bad choice, the guy has nothing to offer.

If Harris wins I won't be too concerned, but trump and Skippy at the same time...

Are you sure you aren't thinking of Johan Hedberg, with a furiously-chewing-gum Chris Levesque sitting on the bench? :classic_ninja:

No wonder he’s so unhinged and so desperate not to call an election now. I’m sure Dana White will give him a call once he’s unemployed…

This is one of those ridings where the NDP and libs need to consider not splitting the vote. Libs should step out of this one in exchange for the NDP not running a candidate elsewhere.

Why?  Are they a coalition now?  They’re supposed to be two separate parties with two separate platforms.

Either that or he understands that his voters don't want to let Poilivre commit the crimes against humanity he's hoping to.  An imperfect government is preferable over having a neo-Nazi running Canada.

Playing the Nazi card as well as the racist card is the reason why a guy like Poilievre can win an election. People are sick and tired of the rhetoric.

And many others are sick of Poilivre's absolute refusal to act like a civilized human being.  There's no good reason to vote for vermin like Poilivre, regardless of the current government.

Problem is tho no one plays the rhetoric and abrasive game as much as pp. It's all he's really done.

Not getting his security clearance is pretty bad. Tells me all I need to know about his character.

If NDP and Liberals have any brain cells left, they would just push through ranked choice. Left or even right vote splitting won't be an issue under that system.
