Sapper
1 hour ago, Satchmo said: I am not about to defend Smith but does the article say she contacted the US DOD? The article is vague but I believe it was the CBC who reached out to them for comment. The U.S. Department of Defence, in a request for comment, referred the issue to the North American Aerospace Defence Command, or NORAD. A spokesman for NORAD, in an email, said, "NORAD and U.S. Northern Command are not conducting any flight activities in Canada that involve the spraying of chemicals." And yes, she is either delusional or just placating those amongst her base who are. Both of those things are as bad as the other. From the article During the town hall, in response to an audience member's concerns about chemtrail spraying over Edmonton, Smith said, "The best I have been able to do is talk to the woman who is responsible for controlling the airspace, and she says no one is allowed to go up and spray anything in the air." So yes it may be that it was a Canadian official not a us official ( CBC made it clear they contacted norad ) Still personally she went to a government official over it for follow up...
6of1_halfdozenofother
Another piece on the chemtrails comment in 'berta from Jimmy's favourite online rag, The Tyee. https://thetyee.ca/News/2024/10/02/Danielle-Smith-US-Military-Edmonton-Chemtrails/ It's labelled "News" but reads like a half-analysis, half-op/ed piece. And it's a real bitch to copy/paste while having anything closely resembling formatting, so I won't quote the article here.

Looks like even that part might not be true. All this fuss because she’s too weak to just say no the loony end of her base. Nav Canada has no record of 'chemtrails' conversation with Alberta government There are renewed questions over a recent comment by Alberta Premier Danielle Smith on whether the province is being sprayed from above by so-called chemtrails. Smith told a weekend United Conservative Party town hall that she spoke with the person in charge of Edmonton’s airspace, who confirmed to her that aircraft are not allowed to go up and spray the atmosphere. However, Nav Canada, the agency responsible for traffic in the country's civilian airspace, says in a statement that its government relations team has not had any queries from the Alberta government on this topic. Sapper
https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/freedom-convoy-organizer-defends-charge-of-encouraging-honking-during-protest-1.7058678 Further proof that cons have gone insane Their argument is they deemed riot police as illegal (.cause they say so ). So when police arrived.they were entitled to deem the threat of arrest by illegal riot police an emergency so could blast horns non stop in violation of he coury order that may or may not have had an exclusion for emergencies We are way past time to identify conservatism as a mental health disorder It wasn't very long ago society considered such behaviour to be deviant and bad With role models like Danielle and Moe and PP can't blame them though ... They are just following their leaders examples
