Smashian Kassian
Not sexy but has many double digit goal seasons, 17 & 18 goal years recently. At that price its a good middle 6/bottom 6 addition, I like it.

Provost
Not sure how these pieces fit yet. Debrusk is not really a top liner, so does he slot in with Miller? Heinen is a 3rd liner and we have Joshua there… do we put on of them in the top six or do we rely on depth and put Heinen on th3 4th line.

DeBrusk likely with Pettersson.

No he can’t… Heinen has averaged 10-14 minutes a game in most of his career. If he is in our top six, that is like putting Lafferty there. Debrusk will probably go with Petterson but that isn’t adding a real top line guy. Edited July 1 by Provost

The Duke
Feels like we’ve been linked to Heinen for years. Another decent signing. Didn’t get any big fish but they *really* went for volume with DeBrusk-Heinen-Sherwood

Pretty sure this is what they're running with and upgrade on the wing if needed during the season. Leaves 5m to get a top-4 RD which we're still missing Hughes-Hronek Soucy-??? I could see them really go after Necas in the summer now that they have debrusk Hogz+ Podz for Necas debrusk Petey Necas Heinen Miller Brock 1

It isn’t the worst to have cap space all the way up to the end of training camp. Solid players shake loose. I don’t know if Necas still moves after Guentzel is off the board, but I do that deal. If Hoglander is still on the top line, you need a better player than Debrusk there. With two decent upgrades like Necas and Debrusk it could work.

I think Miller and Brock are like our McDavid/Drysaitl combo. Blueger with Garland and Joshua was one of the best 3rd lines last year. 1
