Lol ive trusted management so far but do they know we usually only dress 6 defensemen for games?

Looks like we're going for quantity over quality.

Foburt, Juulsen, Desharnais,

Shades of Benning and his bottom 6 signings... Loading up on less talent and leaving big holes unfilled

You need depth, injuries happen quality depth over Zadorov and some guy

If you're bald, and you're tall chances are you're gonna be a Canuck

Lol. AND, have the underlying abilities that can be fine-tuned and directed in a way that makes the Baldy’s better than they used to be.

Remember when our PK was weak?  I do.  Now it isn't weak anymore.  DeBrusk, Forbort and Desharnais are all great PK'ers.

Hughes      Hronek

Soucy         Myers

Forbort      Desharnais

Our defence is actually BIGGER now than last year.  It's the biggest defence in the NHL.  Wow.  This is exactly what Tocchet wanted.  Add D-Petey and Willander to this defence and we ae set really...

I was wondering about that, any stats to go with this?

As the dust has begun to settle, we are looking just as strong as last year.  The TDL will be very interesting as we will likely add more firepower.

Forbort is our smallest bottom 4 defenceman now at 6'4" 216lbs

Huggy will stand out when/if the defence group goes out for dinner by them selves 🙂

Faith in Foote and Gonchar.

Both specialists in their own rights.

They’re the Clark’s of Defenicing.

In them we trust. In Allvin ‘we’ trust.

How was last year? Bad or not bad?

Forbort - 6'4"

Soucy - 6'5"

Desharnais - 6'7"

Myers - 6'8"

Is there any other team in the NHL that has a 6'7" Dman who is NOT the tallest Dman on the team?

Too bad we couldn't keep Zadorov... imagine Zadorov instead of Forbort lol

To everyone crying about this signing (same crowd that hates every move) remember how awful Myers was before Foote and gonchar and how lost Z was before Foote and gonchar, why is our fan base such cry baby’s we have a good team that just added a 6 foot 7 dman to round up our bottom pair from a team that just went to the finals, if he didn’t get banged up he woulda played all of the finals

This and you have guys like inatcc claiming last off season was brutal and the team makes the second round then doubles down that this off season is brutal. The whiners never learn.

Thanks, looking for size and weight but yes definitely a big D

Rumor has it that Foote is scouting this guy, 320 lbs and the deal breaker is if he can skate backwards.

It’s a big punishing D.. got to like that

imho at some point in the next couple years they need to add more offence in the second pair. Either a transition player with great passing ability or someone with a cannon from the point.

Missed out on Hakanpaa so overpaid a bit on Desharnais, big body RD, it's Meh signing, not someone I would have went after, there are better options still out there and probably for less money

I think this is exactly what happened.  Dhaliwal mentioned earlier this week that the Canucks were interested in Hakanpaa.  Would have been for that big, physical 3rd pairing RHD spot, which they ended up settling on Desharnais for instead.

Now can we admit that Quinn Hughes is not actually 5'10?

On skates, absolutely and maybe even 5' 11"
