Keep in mind you do not have to place players on waivers to send down to the minors during the offseason.

Also if you place a player on waivers and intend to place him in the minors please mention that in the waivers post or the player will not be sent down.

3.10 Compliance Buyouts

Only a newly hired GM will be awarded a compliance buyout. When a new GM gets hired they are given the ability to use 1 compliance buyout. This buyout can only happen during their first offseason, and cannot be done mid-season. If a player is bought out with a compliance buyout their contract will be completely taken off of the books.

NOTE: Any players bought out with the compliance buyout will first need to pass through unconditional waivers. If they make it through, you can buy them out and completely rid your team of the contract

New GMs can take advantage of this at any time in the offseason.

@Grinch

@Viking

@Maninthebox

It can only be used on a player that was on the team when you took them over. You cannot acquire a player via trade or signing and use the compliance buyout on them.

Firings

Due to prolonged inactivity and not meeting basic roster maintenance leading up to free agency the following teams are releasing their GMs.

OTT - @Robert Paulson

NJD - @RockemSockem

CBJ - @ArtemChubarov

NJD & CBJ will have all their RFAs automatically qualified, and will eventually be given a temp GM to make minor signings to fill out roster and to keep them up to standard.

Hiring

OTT have found their replacement and name @MatchesMalone their new GM. OTT will be given 24 hours to qualify their RFAs before they become UFAs.

Don't forget to get your offers in to your free agent targets. If you dont want to send an offer to a player until your option A is decided on you can always throw out an "I'm interested" to the agent. If the agent sees there may be a market worth waiting for with a player they may hold off on entertaining the 1-2 low balls they currently have. This will allow GMs to try and keep their option 2s lingering around, while also helping the players get their dough
