Gator
On 7/1/2024 at 6:08 PM, Gator said: NOTE: You cannot increase more than $10m from the previous year investment. You can set it between $20m-$40m for the 2024-25 season regardless of last year's investment since it is a new rule. This is to make teams have to build up gradually from a rebuild if they choose to tank their PR budget. Helps to limit potential exploits of the system. Please keep this in mind when setting your PR budgets. Edited September 16 by Gator
Optimist Prime
@PeteyBOI Toronto Maple Leafs player Jonah Gadjovich has cleared waivers and will be assigned to the minor league affiliate as directed. *note for all GM's* If you state the assignment to the minors in the original waiver notice; that works best. In cases where a GM does not state the players is being waived to the minors, then even if he clears waivers you will still need to make the post to assign him to the minors. Some GM's may waive players who they will keep on the big club if no one picks them up, and so a final destination can be stated in the waiving post or directly after the player clears waivers. Popular Post MatchesMalone
Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reporting: After spending the league maximum on their scouting department last year, the Sens' draft left both fans and pundits scratching their heads. Ben Danford and Eemil Vinni were, at best, questionable first round choices, and it didn't get much better from there. Shortly after the draft GM Matches Malone returned to the helm following a hiatus, and he immediately scrapped and overhauled most of the amateur scouting department. After having such success picking prospects out of Russia at the fantasy draft with the likes of Daniil But, Shakir Mumhamadullin and Prokhor Poltapov, Russian scouts Anton Volchenkov and Alexei Kovalev were among the few members of the staff retained. Most of the amateur scouting staff was released, and the team spent a fortune to bring in Pierre Dorion, Bob Lowes and Jarmo Kekkalainen to head up cohorts in Eastern, Western Canada and Scandinavia, respectively. GM Matches Malone had this to say: "Jarmo and Pierre have both been head GMs before, and whatever you thought about their performances in those positions, as area scouts they're obviously overqualified. We're trying to stack the odds in our favor here, we want to to go from undesirable to undeniable. We're obviously happy to have Ben Danford and Eemil Vinni in the system, but we want to continue to load up the prospect pool while still contending for a championship year after year. We feel that we don't need to add anything significant to the roster to make a run, and yet we're sitting with all of our own 2025 picks plus an extra 1st, 4th and 5th. Let's fucking go."
