Giving you the benefit of the doubt.

Let’s get back to Canucks talk.

Even if we have Edmonton fans (and @Haddy was joking), it should not be grounds for deleting someone's post.

My thoughts on some players:

Not great:

Garland, Dries, Sasson - All three were fighting the puck most of the night. Dries and Sasson felt slow.

Chaos Giraffe:

Myers

Okay:

Hoglander - Lots of exciting plays, but some questionable ones too

Joshua - Wasn't bad, but didn't stand out too much

Aman - Had some presence, but not a huge factor

Good:

DeSmith - Fantastic game. Very solid all around and reliable. All you can ask for

Hughes, Pettersson - Both were amazing as usual

McWard - I was very surprised at how natural he looked at the NHL level. Granted, it's the pre-season, but he meshed very well with Hughes I felt.

Studnicka - I was not high on this guy at all, but he might be working his way into the lineup

Soucy - Was very pleased with his defensive game tonight. If he plays like this, he can actually handle top 4 minutes

Blueger - Everything I ever dreamed of from a defensive standpoint. Chris Tanev, but as a centreman.

Overall, I'd call a 2-1 loss to that Edmonton roster a very successful game.

In addition to those, I thought both Brisebois and Wolanin had good games

Didn't see Brisebois too much, but yeah, Wolanin was quite good too. Fit in quite well on PP1 when he was given that duty.

Wolanin looks good, like the way he handles the puck, clean crisp passes.

Soucy looked solid, helped the pk.

Brisebois played a solid, steady game, as he always does. But he had one noticeable gaff when he through it up the middle in the 3rd, which thankfully, didn't result in a goal against.

Brisebois was quiet and moved the play along and got his stick in the way. Just had one bad giveaway where he tried to go up the middle, but was solid otherwise.

What impressed me most was how well the team supported each other, both attacking and defending. Hard to describe but I know it when I see it. Also, the penalty kill was great.

The makings for it were really drilled in during camp. Good to see it translating
