With Crosby's retention coming off the books next year it was huge for us to offset some of that with retention on a player of Duchene's callibre. Frederic is a player we've been interested in for a while; hopefully reminiscent of our Hartman add a couple years ago - he's a depth guy on a good contract for two years who was a former 1st rounder and the analytics suggest he could have another gear. And then obviously Raddysh is an interesting case - props to L.A. for signing him for nothing and getting a good return, but from our perspective, NHL Tampa is a still a legit contender and Raddysh is playing a lot of minutes for them. When Lehkonen returns and we have a full lineup, we'll need to send down Eklund and Mitchell and roll a 22-man roster.
