Popular Post CRAZY_4_NAZZY
For those who were following this, Chris the AGM of the Flames has been battling ALS for the past several years now. Was given half a year to live, but up to this point out lived that prognosis by 3 years. He was recently named the AGM of the Flames for their analytics department. Devasting news, rivalry aside, praying for peace and comfort for Snow's wife and kids, and for the Flames organization. 4 1 19

Darius
Over at Calgary Puck they had a thread discussing his battle with ALS for at least a couple years now. He fought valiantly with treatment and the disease progression seemed to slow down. Very sad to see this news today.

You know, we see news like this every day, some sadly in their families....yet most of us, including me, seldom TRULY appreciate how lucky we are to simply be healthy (knock on wood). As you get older, as I am getting, you notice even little injuries from working out, playing a sport, don't heal like they used to in your 20's. Something you shook off in a day or so can takes weeks to heal from...and you start noticing health means something (not that this example is even close). We bitch and moan about so many things in our lives yet forget daily to be thankful to not have some debilitating disease (for those of us who don't)..... Many people are not so lucky to have good health and they had nothing to with it, just luck of the draw. The saying is true, you don't appreciate your health until its gone...so sad this story 1 1 3

Popular Post bishopshodan
I know this hell. My heart really goes out to Chris and his family. I lost my dad to ALS 10 years ago. I watched him go from a big strong 230lb man to a paralysed 140lb man in one year, when I watched the light go out of his eyes. He could no longer move, talk, walk...he was on a feeding tube. Hell. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I miss you so much dad.
