His numbers in the KHL don’t jump off the page, but aren’t bad. I do remember the short stint with the Canucks as being pretty average but he was a great skater and you could see some talent. Unfortunately he chose to return to Russia. Anyone have any recent reviews on his KHL performance and whether a return to the NHL would be a possibility? In fact, New York isn't known for developing high end talent with their high end picks. When he came over here, I felt like he had Russians to help his game, but it's not very impressive as you can see above. The past season in the KHL was the most games played (55) in a season. It seems to me that this may be a player who could benefit from having a consistent amount of ice.
