Allegend
Maybe those three districts were chosen for geographical reasons.
MattJVD
My guess would be something mundane like those three districts already wrote proposals on how they would operate before and after school care. So it was the least extra work to trial the program there, before expanding elsewhere. Edited May 22 by MattJVD 1

Might find the price of electricity goes way up, given the increasing demand. building more stuff offshore, then waiting for parts to fix things seems silly.

Gurn
One thing I note from this publication-nothing is ever good news, or good enough for them--- so they do seem biased. That said it is an opinion piece https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/other/adam-pankratz-imploding-bc-united-working-hard-to-cancel-conservative-opponents/ar-BB1nkYWr?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=052824369ec9418a9947df55267e153a&ei=34 " As BC United tanks in the polls, it has done what any party would do: searched within itself for solutions, focused its message and trained its sights on the incumbent government, the B.C. NDP. Of course, I’m only kidding. Taking on an incumbent government that crushed you in the last election requires discipline, rigour and a purpose the electorate can identify with. Currently, BC United has none of the above, so it has chosen a different path: casting aspersions on the BC Conservatives and their enormous lead in the polls. It is a curious path for the rebranded Liberals and their leader, Kevin Falcon, who previously declared his return to politics was to save the province from the NDP . That is why the recent strategic turn to attack the other party of the right is so eyebrow-raising. Recently, BC United has been dumping what is clearly election-period opposition research on BC Conservative candidates months out from an election. The tactic reeks of desperation. No party would do this so early unless there were no options left. In any given election, most parties end up having to ditch a candidate or two because of odd or distasteful past comments or actions. This is nothing new. Whether it’s an NDP candidate tossing out wild accusations to hurt others’ credibility, a Conservative candidate peeing in coffee cups in the course of his day job or Liberals candidates in Ontario and B.C. making off-colour comments, you can count on a few embarrassing moments from the past to surface and cause candidates to be ejected. (Interestingly, one of the few non-ejectable offences seems to be a party leader wearing blackface, but that is by the by). ------------------- half more to the article at link. Warhippy
BC is now the most interesting place for politics in the country IMO The NDP for all the fears about them have turned out to be solid stewards and haven't destroyed the economy while completing some of the highest percentages of their platform. The BC United has not just tanked but omfg are at risk of being wiped out. For the first time in decades an actual Conservative presence in BC has enough momentum to win seats in the legislature. We might in the next 4-8 years actually become a province with a viable left centre and right party if the BC united party can turf falcon and get their shit together.

It's pretty easy to write cheques and pat yourself on the back. Not sure thats solid stewardship. And no, I'm not arguing the cons will be better, just looking at what the NDP has actually done on its own merits.
