That would be a massive job installing irrigation and people to maintain it.

Probably not worth the cost.

The stadium I saw in South Korea, the field slides out of the stadium and is outside when not in use, so normal rain waters it. Certainly innovative. Of course had we just ok'd the Waterfront Stadium proposal from the get go, think of all the money we would have saved and the Lions and Whitecaps could have shared the Stadium.

Not possible to slide the stadium out at BC place.

Doubt it would have been possible at the other location either.

Vancouver’s density and land costs make things like that almost impossible.

Obviously a graduate from the John McEnroe school of Tennis.....

Part of Medvedev's schtick. I can't stand him.

For me, this is just absolutely childish. During a match in the heat of the moment? Sure...emotions run high in competition. After it's all said and done? Nope...show some good sportsmanship. Felix's moment, not his to throw a tantrum in.

Way to go, Felix.

Waterfront Stadium had an Empire Stadium type design, that was out in the open. Seating for 30,0000, and expandable to 50,000 later on.

So rain could do it's thing. There was luxury boxes as well for the rich folks who don't want to get wet.

Another 3X3 basketball win for the ladies.

Both games they got to 21 before time expired.

These gals look great so far!

Enjoyed it. And apparently China was the favourite coming in to the Olympics.

Felix has been on the verge of greatness for awhile now. Is this his moment?

Everyone thought Milos or Shapavalov were Canadas next greats. They forgot about FAA.

Trying to think of the right word for this, um, hang on, Ill get it. Oh yah;  You argued too long on 🤒.  Gotta work on that attitude. Just an opinion..

I mean she has a point. The official messed up.

But she needs to just accept it and move on. You waste so much mental energy trying to reverse a call that’s not gonna be reversed. 🤣

When you spend your career being Alcaraz/Djokovic/Sinner's stepping stone to their trophies, you tend to have a shit attitude.

Whoa 😮

That is a major upset!

Yup.  He was down initially then a rain delay.  I guess the rain helped him.

Wonder if the Seine is polluted more again with sewage after the rain.

Priestman emails show Canada Soccer spying may have been regular practice

'All top 10 teams do it,' coach wrote in message

Myles Dichter · CBC Sports · Posted: Jul 31, 2024 11:57 AM EDT |

"In other words, this was a practice started by one person – [redacted] – and continued by Bev Priestman."

Both The Canadian Press and TSN have identified that one person as former women's and men's national coach John Herdman. CBC has not independently confirmed the identity."

Also, didn't particularly like Milak (Hungary)...based on nothing more than what seemed to me to be a cocky/smug attitude. Like he expected to win. Got silver, but glad he got beat in the end.

I could be totally off base though as this is very much judging a book by its cover. Just got that Zegras-y feeling from him.
