grumpyone
I 'd settle for alternating corner or free kicks to settle the game. do free kicks from the 18 yard box.
UnkNuk
Disappointing ending. But if we're going to lose in penalties, I'm glad at least two shooters missed. That way, the weight of the loss isn't just on one person's shoulders. Entertaining game, though. Wish we could have seen a couple more.

Gurn
If they must have penalty kicks- every player should get a kick. ------------------------------------- The way the team kept together and kept wining, reminds me of the Women's hockey team in Salt Lake (iirc) when they got penalized, repeatedly, but kept on playing---- and won. Kept all the repeated shitty calls out of their mind and killed them all.
Jaimito
US Walsh had the lead most of the run and lost it last 25M But she got DQ at the end for illegal turn. All news to me. But that might explain her lead earlier. 1

Popular Post JoeyJoeJoeJr. Shabadoo
Kelif won her quarter final match against her Hungarian opponent and broke into tears. Apparently the Hungarian was attacking her on social media the night before, calling her some vile shit. I'm pulling for this girl now. She hasn't deserved any of this negative attention and yet still persevered. 2

RupertKBD
I'm not a big fan of penalty shootouts, but if we had won, nobody would be complaining....just like Tokyo... Canada did themselves proud. They just fell a bit short.
RupertKBD
4 hours ago, Dumb Nuck said: Canada needs to work on their shots, hurt them in the game and the PKs. Made it fun, too bad it’s over. This game (and this tournament) showed that the team has thus far been unable to find the heir apparent to Christine Sinclair. I think they were hoping Jordyn Huitema was going to be it, but that doesn't seem to have materialized. Instead, it's more of a "striking by committee" situation.....Viens, Leon, Grosso....nobody has become the true #9. In fact, It's a bit telling that the scoring star for the team was defender Vanessa Gilles.... When Fleming left with an injury, I thought the team was in big trouble, because she provides such great service to the forwards, but the rest of the midfield actually did pretty well.....it was the finishing that really let them down. DeNiro
Was really looking forward to a Canada USA matchup in soccer. Looks like France was upset today. Would have liked a rematch with them in the finals too. This team felt like a team of destiny. Really thought they were gonna go all the way. Feel like they deserved better today. Losing Fleming was the difference for me. This team was dominant offensively when they turned it on but seriously lacked finish.

UnkNuk
Speaking of disappointing losses, Canada's last soccer opponent, Columbia (ranked #22) just about upset Spain (ranked #1) this morning. Colombia took a 2-0 lead and Spain only managed to tie it by scoring the tying goal after seven minutes of extra time in the second half. Spain then went on to win in pks 4-2. The US #5 escaped with a 1-0 win over Japan #7, scoring a goal in the first period of extra time after a 0-0 regulation. 1

Whats gonna happen is she's going to display her "bits" on social media to shut people up and Musk is going to ban her for being naked or some such nonsense. I personally think , and this is literally my opinion only. That heightened testosterone levels are a biological advantage that does give her a serious leg up on the competition. BUT! If the IOC says she can fight, then she can fight and screw everyone else period.
