Lol, just make every athlete undergo hormone therapy to match a predetermined target for both genders.

Males, must have the same hormone levels as Ryan Reynolds...because who hates Ryan Reynolds?

Females, must have the same hormone levels as Dolly Parton...because who hates Dolly Parton?

:hurhur:

Yea that was insane closing speed.

Like how did she have that much more in the tank? That was Usain Bolt level finish.

I mean porn is perfectly allowed on Twitter or X per their new policy....

It's been on there for years.

Sometimes you get porn just by searching something as a innocent as Lindholm, or Boeser. I wonder if there is an adult filter.  Can be terrible if you are just browsing at work.

Man these Olympics have really gotten me through the dog days of summer with no Canucks hockey.

Ive tried watching the Lions and the Whitecaps but it’s just not the same.

The Olympics have really given us some special sports moments so far though. Only two more months until hockey season!

Y. The entire Olympics is a competition of traits that are the extremes of normal distribution, besides amazing training over years.

Paralympics is the opposite.

I think we can all just enjoy it as such. No need to make this a cultural war on wokeness or not.

Looking at Sunday's schedule, it's kind of a mixed bag.  A lot of boxing semi-finals.  Athletics is in full swing.  And it's the last day for swimming.

If I was only going to watch one event on Sunday it would be:

12:50pm  Athletics  Men's 100m Final

This seems to be the glamour event of the Olympics.  And, assuming he can run a decent time in the semi-finals starting at 11:05am, Canadian Andre De Grasse could be in the running.

If I was only going to watch two events on Sunday, my second pick would be:

10:26am  Swimming  Women's 4x100 Medley Relay Final   There's a Canadian team in the event but the team members have yet to be announced.  I'm thinking this might be a chance to see Summer one more time.

And if I was only going to watch three events on Sunday, my bronze pick would be:

11:30am  Athletics  Men's Hammer Throw Final   Apparently the favourite in this event is a Canadian, Ethan Katzberg.  And a second Canadian, Rown Hamilton, is also supposed to be pretty good.  Good reason to watch an event that I'm not sure I've ever watched before.

Thanks for the list! Definitely wanna watch those.

The question for me is do I wanna get up really early and watch the men’s tennis final. Alcarez and Djokovic always give a great show.

Also I didn’t realize Summer could race again I thought that team was set. So there’s a chance she could swim with Oleksiak?

What if someone grew to 20’ tall and was actually quite coordinated? They could dominate pretty much any Olympic category or professional sport they played, problem is it would destroy those sports, no one would watch after the initial novelty and no one would care. Would you ban such a person or not?

Wouldn’t consider it for even a moment. Just because someone absolutely dominates? Katie Ladecky didn’t lose an 800m freestyle for 13 years and had all of the top 25 times until Summer McIntosh beat her in February of this year. Katie holds the top 20 fastest times ever in the 1500m and people still care.

Half the world loves to see a dominant athlete and the other half wants to see someone finally upset the 20 footer.

Are they American? If so, they would erect statues of them on every street corner.

Forget 20 feet tall. What about 6'-4", with a 6'-7" wingspan, with double jointed knees and elbows, a hypextended thorax, and a body that produces half the lactic acid of a typical athlete. Whose going to want to watch that guy compete, amirite?

They would leave massive footprints on the football or soccer field, giant holes in a basketball court…  Giraffes are 20ft tall and weight 3500lbs with a relatively slight build compared to people. That athlete will be 5000lbs.
‘Would be fun watching them step on the competition.

Is there some risk of that happening?

That was one of those "wow" moments in our family room. She sure closed on the American in the last 50 metres.

Thing is, she also made it look effortless. Just completely kicked it into another gear....was definitely a wow factor there.

It really highlights the whole it ain't over till it's over deal.
