That high saucer pass to Hughes has to clear a sprawling RNH, who was laying down a few feet in front of him. Here’s my take on the game as it played in the back ground… showed up a little late, buddy Dave already had a huge order of nachos on the way. Slow service, but got beer ordered. Game already playing, 0-0, not worth ignoring friends yet… nachos arrive, good home made gauc, lotsa cheese.. unintentionally eat a jalapeño, crap that’s hot… beer, local red ale yum! First intermission, not much in high lites… second period, things looking more interesting, starting ignoring buddy Jim, we score ! Wahoo! Being the only Canuck fan (I’m in Calgary), I cheer, but no one else seems to care…. More beer ordered and enjoyed delicious house pizza arrives, sooooo good! Canucks (huggy!) scores!! Wahoo! Pizza, beer, Canucks score, awesome! thoroughly ignoring friends now except Dave who’s smart enough to understand why the flames won 10-0, and apologized for the many people who didn’t understand the why….. third period, Canucks getting power plays, and from my beer induced haze, things looks good! 4-1 I think, it’s been a few beer… 5-2 now, wife sez time to go home… swig my last delicious beer, and head home to catch up on the new CDC…. Miss all the crap at the end of the game… thanks everybody for a great Saturday night!
