Yup. Broberg was a better player in the playoffs than Nurse. 4

Edmonton has had long enough to get these guys signed. It’s fair game after awhile. Also I hope this is the start of GMs around the NHL blackballing Bowman. Basically saying, the league may be okay with you being a GM but we’re not. We side with the players. Exactly. I was hoping this was done the first day Bowman was announced. Kinda like a “Welcome back to the League” thing.. 2 3

They have 6D signed and are already over the cap He’s already signed by them for 2yrs at 1.2m. 1

Asset management! I don’t know how they match and it also completely screws their ability to negotiate with Draisaitl as these are two year offers which cover the start of his extension. Brilliant move by STL lol. Making it 2 year deals completely handcuffs EDM. 1 5 1

Popular Post Devron
Fun fact. I used to like the Oilers back in the Ryan Smyth days. Team wasn’t talented but had heart. Started hating them once they kept getting gifted first overall picks 6

That last thing I want to see is Chicago, or San Jose put an offer sheet on Willander just when he starts to get good. Offer sheets rarely happen and even when they do teams usually plan to have the cap to match. This is just an example of a team getting greedy and not planning properly. They tried to squeeze right to the cap before taking care of their re-signings. If they were smart they wouldn’t have signed Skinner until they had Broberg done. 2 3

You lock them up as soon as you can. I'm guessing STL will lock up Jake Neighbours well in advance of free agency next year. Same with Toropchenko. 1
Wing
Wow this actually happened. Thanks blues for something to talk about other than Leafs in an otherwise uneventful August. I think there's a way for Oils to keep Broberg by using similar assets to get rid of Ceci's contract. The risk is paying Broberg this much money after such a short sample size. This also assumes Kane will remain on LTIR for the whole season.

Their RFAs should have been given the decency of being signed before shopping for more outside of the organization. Good on Holloway and Broberg to sign with STL. I would have done the same thing. 1 1

I’d rather had halloway and Broberg than skinner personally and I agree but love seeing some sort of karma come around for them choosing bowman as their guy 5 1 1

Loving this move by STL. Entertainment in August is great! 1 1 5 2 1 1

When they try to unload cap, it'll probably COST them 2nd and 3rd round picks haha Nobody is gonna do them any favours when they just went to Game 7 of the Finals. To move a guy like Ceci, it'll probably be at least a 2nd round pick attached. To move Kane, it'd be a 1st+ lol
Popular Post CanucksJay
If Drais gets 14m and Bouchard gets 9m They'll have 9 forwards and 5 defenceman and 2 goalies signed at 83m cap hit next year. At minimum they need 3 forwards and a d man signed for 6-7m But probably more like 4 forwards and 2 D signed at 7m 5 1
