[Trade] Askarov to SJS

Recommended Posts

This is an awesome impact trade for both sides

SJS might have just acquired a franchise player

And NSH might have acquired a top 3 pick in a good draft next year

If it’s a top 10 pick SJS will have choice between theirs or Vegas’

Interesting

I would've pushed to acquire a more seasoned prospect than. That 1st is no sure thing and Askarov is probably the top goalie prospect in the world... would've been nice if they could've acquired a NHL ready prospect instead

Not sure they were gonna get a better offer

Edstrom was a late 1st but he's a good prospect, where the 1st lands is anyone's guess but it's still a 1st, Chrona's probably just them moving out a contract

It's also not a bad big picture move, they've tethered their wagon to Saros and they're better off with the assets, this trade gives them three 1st round picks this coming draft

They'll have theirs, Tampa's, and one of San Jose or Vegas's, they'll also have a couple 2nd's and a couple 3rd's

Nashville can either use some of these assets to jockey for a cup while their older vets are still capable of use most of them to bolster their prospect pool so as to start developing their next core; this would help them possibly avoid a full on rebuild down the road

Savvy work by Trotz imo, and by San Jose, they basically turned Hertl into cap space and Askarov

San Jose now need to start working on getting defence and they could be competitive in a couple years.. with Celebrini smith eklund zetterlund.. that's a very good forward to build around and they have their starting goalie in askarov forward wise they are really not all that bad and actually way better than hawks with bedard.. Chicago should have jumped all over the deal.

Glad they didn't, San Jose would be much more tolerable as a wagon than Chicago, even with them being in our own division

Askarov got his Wisharov and got Tradedarov to the Sharksarov.

May Godarov have mercy on his Soularov. 🦈

. . . it's a tad early, but happy 420!
