Canucks Preseason Camp: 15F 9D 3G remain in camp

One of the promising long shots who I don't think has much of a chance, but maybe should, is Christian Felton.   I guess the one thing going against him is his size.  6' 1"  185.  Especially for a D man.  But he's a smooth skater, and a smart player with an offensive side. Seems to always make the right play.  But at 24, this is make or break time.

would you mind if i appended your current list of who is in camp and who was cut to the first post of this thread? I just pinned the thread, but as some are asking, it makes sense to have your awesome list on page one post one. If you are cool with it, i will cut and paste it there.

Of course! I can keep editing it as time goes on or a mod can, means nothing to me 🙂

Just waiting to hear back from the OP on this thread and I will copy your great list to the first post hopefully. If you can keep up on it that would be a huge help, I will copy any changes you make to the first post as they are updated. thank you.

I think Raty will beat out Aman for the #4C spot

Bottom 6:

Joshua/Suter - Blueger - Garland

Hoglander - Raty - Sherwood

Di Giuseppe

And until Bluger is back Raty will be the 3C. Heck maybe Raty plays 3C this whole year? We need a guy who can win faceoffs in the right dot. Raty is proving his flipped over style works. Plus, he’s big smart and skilled.

Nice they released Sammy Blais.  Unimpressed with him.

Still crowded though.  Need to pare it down and sort out the last few spots.

The good thing is he’ll be in Abby under Malhotra.

If we’re short on forwards or he returns to his previous form he can always be signed later.

We will have younger people with more upside in Abby that I would prefer to get those opportunities.

Nobody in Abby brings the physical play Blais does when he’s 100% though.

If we’re lacking in the physical department he might get the edge.

That would be great.  The only issue then would be having to put him through waivers to recall him.  Hopefully he doesn't draw too much attention to himself down there if he does pick up his play.

Sherwood, Joshua, Miller, Heinen, Forbort, Desharnais.......I don't think that should be the main issue this year.

Well I said in Abby.

Him being signed would probably mean an injury to someone.

And actually Hirose is still up as well.

I guess Bains can somewhat fulfill the Joshua role

Hirose may be up due to his injury. I recall the Canucks couldn’t send Briesbois down last year because he was on the IR. I think Hirose will be sent back as soon as he’s healthy enough to play.

Thanks @Lewlowned for this previous list.  If I can count correctly that's 13 F and 8 D with injured players on IR.

I think we have our roster.

Edit. I'll learn how to code on the forum another day.  Cut players have been deleted from the list.
