Kennedy said that the police understands the attacker walked into the premises armed with a knife and started to attack the children. “We believe that the adults who were injured were bravely trying to protect the children who were being attacked,” she said at a news conference on Monday evening. Merseyside Police said it received reports of a stabbing in Southport, north of Liverpool. Emergency services were called to a “major incident” in the town at around 11:50 a.m. local time (6:50aET). A 17-year-old boy was arrested at the scene. “The investigation is in its early stages and the motivation for the incident remains unclear. However Counterterrorism Police Northwest have offered their support,” Kennedy said. The police said earlier the incident was not treated as terror-related. Local business owner Colin Parry was one of the people who called the police, said the incident in Southport was like a “scene in a horror movie,” according to PA Media. They will spend the rest of their lives in prison, rather than face the death penalty in America. This is an important piece of global justice, in that KSM has been water boarded in Gitmo for a few decades,which for those of you who don't know is TORTURE. I hate him, he is an enemy of peace, but I do not condone torturing even the worst people. There was little chance of a legal win if it was ever brought to court since almost every bit of evidence was procured through the use of torture at the american site in Cuba and through some dark sites in Syria as well. This finally closes a chapter as the three will spend the rest of their days behind bars for their crimes, while also not allowing the USA to 'profit' from their own crimes of torturing prisoners illegally and indefinitely..imagine dying, being resuscitated and dying again hundreds of times a month for two decades...I can't even fathom it. I would prefer one final death, i think. This one strikes close to home as I have been a vocal opponent of 'good guys' using torture since the early 2000's.
