Curmudgeon
5 minutes ago, Captain Kirk said: Silovs needs a bit more practice tracking the puck around screens. And exactly how would he do that? If he can see around a screen, then it isn't a screen, is it? The real solution is for the defence to clear the opponents from the goalie's line of sight. Nine times out of ten, if Silovs sees the shot, he makes the save. With an NHL defence in front of him, he'll see a lot more pucks. 1 2

Don’t need to watch to understand Silovs isn’t nhl ready. He’s an ahler right now. And that’s where he will be when Demko is ready. Lanky wasn’t brought in because of Demko’s injury. He was brought in because Silovs isn’t ready.

This is such a sloppy game.

No he was brought in as insurance because we have limited NHL experience beyond Demko. Silovs may go back to the A once Demko is healthy, sure, but he’s already proven to be an NHL backup. I’m not saying starter but he’s a capable back up. More seasoning will be good for him, but at some point Alf he needs that seasoning to be of NHL caliber. This should be the year for some more of that. It’s almost an inevitability.
Popular Post Steamer4GM
Damn Half you folks are twice as bipolar as you were a quarter of a decade ago Just enjoy this and what's to come You can't evaluate Silovs NHL readiness based on how he looks with a preseason defense in front of him Save yer candyass whinging for the quarter mark at least Canuck hockey is BACK!!! Zimmyparttwo
Any NHL team (AHL for that matter) that goes into a game against Silovs with the express strategy to just shoot long floaters from the point and then depend on screens and lucky bounces will lose 19 times out of 20. It may be that Silovs has a particular weakness but the number of pucks that have seemed to go by him (including the playoffs) are an aberration. That being said, he needs to clean this part of his game up and I have no doubt he will. 1

I bought a 25 acre farm with a huge beautiful house for less than I sold my townhouse in Langley. It was actually Tyler Ennis’s old house. Im about an hour south of Edmonton in the farmlands and it’s actually super beautiful here. Cost of living is much less and there are half the amount of people it seems. I just need to figure out how I can stream all the Canucks games and I’m golden Edited September 29 by D.B Cooper 1 2 1
