I'd be surprised if he cracks the top 6 regularly. But we needed something that can move the puck if Hughes went down for a little bit of time. We get rid of Poolman's contract so we don't have to go into LTIR this season. And we gain over $2 million in cap space that can accrue over the next 6 months so we can make a big trade at the deadline for a cup run. All of this cost us a 4th round pick... In Allvin we trust... Desharnais is still kinda young, younger than Myers anyway, maybe the project plan for him was to mold him into a top pair stay at home to let Quinny do his thing.
