Jim Tim
Let this kid marinate in our system down in the AHL for a bit, could be a nice surprise when he gets called up. How's he been on the defensive side of things historically, good enough to stay out of Tocc's doghouse?

They thought Bramstrom was playing wing he was up in the play so much. Then they realized the guy was just really good. Brsmsyrom is too good for the AHL. He thinks the game and sees the ice at an elite level. Defensively he was good too. But it was against AHL players. 2

Sativika
Didn't surprise me that we traded Poolman. However getting Brannstrom was! Obviously he was a pivotal part in the trade that got him to Ottawa. Thought he was alright there. But I guess he didn't pan out how they wanted him to. Okay. Kid's only 25yrs old. Still young enough to become something more. And it's great that he's with us! Our HOF coaching oughta' make a player outta' him yet!

Is he a lot like Sprong though, where 95% of his time on ice is without the puck, and it’s bad?

I guess the question is whether the positives will outweigh the negatives.
kettlevalley
Didn't marinate long. What do they do now? Move Soucy to right side. Forbort Myers Brannstrom Soucy

See if Brannstrom can add some puck moving to the bottom pair. Leave Myers and Soucy as our shutdown pair. Excited to see the kid get a shot. Hope it works out for him and he can be passable defensively.
R3aL
Has forbort been the issue? I think Forbort-Brannstrom is more likely than Brannstrom-Desharnais but we will see curious how long to brannstrom makes a mistake and if tocchet benches him after 1
RJCF96
It's unlikely, but if Brannstrom turns into our version of Forsling, then we struck gold.

Bonkers
How about moving Soucy out to the right, instead of EB? Hughes - Hronek Brännström - Soucy Forbort - Myers

We still have a guy like that by the name of Wolanin. Brannstrom has already played 3+ seasons of NHL hockey, playing useful minutes and putting up respectable numbers on a garbage team. Gotta believe he can be at least somewhat useful to our team.

That he was. Chi and Carolina didn't see an NHL player either. Because he hadn't shown it yet.
