Aye, but not for being jolly ... Think you need all kind of personalities in the dressing room. 1

Then see him on call up duty through the season. But hey, if he deserves a spot next year then why wait!

Manny was a top ten pick who had to accept to be an NHLer he needed be a defensive specialist who contributed in ways that didn’t include points. Rsty might be in a similar boat. Become a super 3C.

Clarke has been a Godsend for our goalies. IMHAO Manny is going to be that important for our young forwards. 1

Who better to guide our prospects to different directions to be successful when they are struggling to be big point getters, than a guy who knows the path to still being valuable to helping a team succeed. They have to keep Ratu and Klimovich on the same line together to let them develop their skills and chemistry together. Treat them like a pair, the way Tocchet does with Miller/Boeser and Garly/Joshua. 1

Raty, Klim and the other young guys will be a lot better off now with a head coach who will put the players first. 1
fuzzy
I'm curious to see how his skating improves this off season. If he can a find another level he could be an impact player.

Ya I’m hoping his skating improves too I’m wanting him to spend a close to or the full year with manny in abby as a C think it could be huge for him and then expect him to push for a spot next year but if he has a big summer he could make a push at training camp But I think we will have a lot of bottom 6 wingers and I don’t think he’s nhl C ready so ideally he spend a full year at center in ahl with manny and has two off seasons before being expected to make a real serious roster push

higgyfan
Raty is my favourite prospect right now. I think he will make the NHL jump at some point this season. He will be pushing the bottom line C and or LW during training camp.
Warhippy
If he is smart he is doing skating drills every single day for hours with a quality skating coach. maybe some figure skating lessons too. Bag skate sprints. Heads up passing play drills. He can be one of our best potential assets but his detriments are all fundamentals that CAN be fixed but have yet to take that next step

Hammertime
Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Pls. He signed at age 18. The Islanders played him 12 games at age 19 and we played him 3 games at age 20. Does that mean that this is his last waiver exempt year as it will be his D+3? Or does he still have until his D+4?

Yes, this coming season is his final year of exemption. He has a lot of potential and will likely make the team later this year or starting the following season. He's a terrific prospect. He had a massive improvement last season and is arguably the best player for his age. 1

Or are we still hoping for a 3c type guy. His skating didn't stand out as particularly awful like 1st camp Bo Horvat. Hoping for the best under the guidance of Malhotra, but I kind of feel like thats a short window. I don't see him being ready at 22. Looking for him to carry momentum into a big growth year!
