Guess I'll just have to start pushing #AllOMGThreadsToOT  :hurhur:

If there’s something pertinent, like earthquakes or an upcoming Snow, or major Rain event or what have you, I’ll be happy to move them over here.

Personally, I think they should all be here during Winter/Storm season.

Is it wrong that I haven’t put my snow tires on yet?

Normally I switch over around mid to late November.

It costs a lot to change them.

Thinking I gotta do it this week, but then I’ll have switch back in a couple months.

Stupid climate change.

OK Tire here charges $80 and $40 if they are on rims.  Cedar Tire is the same I think.

Wet slushy snow by the airport in Powell river- maybe an inch worth. Just enough to cover the drive way, but the roads were all clear.

Now raining, and the wind should start gusting up to 50k in an hours or so.

Yea driving in snow in Vancouver is easy. The conditions aren't bad I find it very nice. It's the rain I find difficult.

It's ok if one is prepared and has had some experience and doesn't drive around like a jackass.

My first few snow driving attempts helped me really gain a good appreciation for preparedness, and now that I've had about a dozen or so winters of snowfall driving under my belt (the first few with a FWD, the last bunch with an AWD), I kind of know what to expect and how to prepare and what to avoid.  Can't say the same about many of my fellow drivers out there, especially on the first day of snowfall in a season.  They all seem to chicken out after that first snowfall day though, which makes the rest of the season's driving so much better.  :towel:

Red Deer, B.C.?

Maybe you posted that pic because that’s what you’re dealing with in and around RD?

I reckon it’ll be cold here, but snow isn’t going to be Alberta level.

I just moved back to Victoria from Edmonton so I will bitterly complain about any and all snow. I paid twice as much for a house half the size to escape winter, damn it.
