Aqua man and the fans will quickly over rule this direction. No one wants to see a defensive team even if they win games awful hockey isn't worth seeing.

Us the fans want goals and entertainment even if the teams losses if we score a lot that's all we want to see.

Ya we’ve seen the defensive low scoring Canucks before, not fun

Tocchet's brand of hockey is much closer to Travis Green's style.

They get their goals from being opportunistic through playing low event hockey. Force the opposition to make a mistake through heavy forechecking, clogging the neutral zone, and capitalizing on the powerplay.

His style preaches patience and attack as a unit. This team has tried being a gunslinger team, but they don't have good enough defense and two way forwards...and frankly not enough top end skill to do that.  This team needs to learn to play a boring style for now, meaning as a fanbase this will likely lead to more boring games, but could very well earn us more W's.

Are you saying we're in our boring Minnesota Wild defense era, minus the trap

Unfortunately no one is willing to trade Ws for lack of entertainment. No one. The Ws benefit the players not the fans, I rather the team lose but score a lot and you'll see quickly that is what fans will want as well.

Tocchet will have to adjust if he wants to stay in Van.

Pretty much.

Tocchet emphasizing the "North South style" means more dump ins and forechecking rather than puck possession. This style also requires players to get to their spots and execute thoroughly. Not sure this team has exactly the right mix yet to do that fully.
