Curmudgeon Posted October 5, 2023 Share Posted October 5, 2023 As one who goes to several Abbotsford games, it is infuriating that Vancouver chose to ice an AHL roster when people bought tickets with the expectation of seeing Hughes, Pettersson, Miller and the full NHL roster. Glad I didn’t take the bait and switch routine. Absolutely inexcusable, and will not be soon forgotten. While I’ll continue to go to Abbotsford games, I’ll follow Vancouver on TV but will not buy a ticket, a vastly overpriced meal, any of the several special jerseys they flog every year, or any other merchandise from the team. The team is worth over a billion and it isn’t enough for the Aquilinis who seem to want to squeeze every last nickel from their most faithful and passionate fans. Demko is being handed the Vezina by Tocchet at this point but at what cost? No scoring, no fun? This Vezina isn't worth it, it's tainted.
