Hamas attacking Israel

Meaningless posturing by Iran, sending slow traveling drones from 1000 miles away.

They know that will get shot down before actually hitting anything meaningful in Israel.

i wonder how long before Israel strikes them back?

Israel's allies are likely counselling them to not retaliate.

Israel has to respond. Iran has never directly attacked Israel. Now they have. And if Israel doesn’t respond they will appear weak and only embolden their enemies. This is not a “turn the other cheek” part of the world.

Biden is great but I think he’s under a lot of pressure to keep a lid on escalation of this situation. Israel must respond though. Will be interesting to see what that response is.

Hopefully they don't take the bait.

JUST IN: A senior Israeli official allegedly has said that an “unprecedented response” is coming to Iran’s attack tonight.

The official told Channel 12 that Israelis should not go to bed because of what’s coming.

“Channel 12 quotes a “senior Israeli official” pledging an ‘unprecedented response’ to Iran’s attack and urging Israelis not to go to bed due to what is coming Tehran’s way,” The Times of Israel reported.

The footage below is reportedly Nevatim Airbase in Southern Israel which has reportedly been struck by ballistic missiles.

This is a very delicate geopolitical situation. If Iran and Israel enter into a war the ramifications are numerous and severe. Iran has already withdrawn from its attack and to risk further escalation can be interpreted as silly and needless. I think it's more of an attempt to avoid worldwide consequences and a brutal, bloody conflict than simple cowardice. The world is growing less safe by the day; why accelerate this point?

The drones/missiles were largely intercepted. This did nothing but cost Israel money (air defense). Iran hasn't invaded, they sent a very defendable 'attack'. No jets, no bombers, just slow drones and some missiles. If Israel takes the next step tens of thousands, or more, will likely die. Israel can no doubt defend itself, especially with the UK and US navy in close proximity. If Iran takes another shot then Israel should and will respond. But until then cooler heads need to prevail for the greater good.

Is it bait? Imagine what Iran will do when they’re have nukes? Israel should destroy any known Iranian nuclear site.

Hard to know exactly where it all is maybe? Or maybe they have a plan for that if things get really scary.

This was just more dumb posturing by Iran.

Iran has crossed the point of no return. Israel’s response will be massive.

An overwhelming response is kind of their trademark these days...

Because this is the only thing the other side understands. Every unanswered attack is viewed as weakness and invitation to try and repeat.

Sure and with Iran's proxy war and support against Israel I think their personnel are valid targets. But Israel blew up an embassy which is technically Iranian territory and so Iran had to do something. The question is now what will the response to an attack on ACTUAL Israeli soil result in. Israel now has to do something you would think. It isn't like them taking the stance of de-escalation will work with the nut jobs running Iran.
