Whorvat
I'm guessing a deal in principle has already been agreed upon with Myers and his agent. Not signing allows the Canucks additional cap flexibility, while also not allowing other GM's to take advantage of a team that's a little closer to the cap The extra 3 mil approximately allocated to Myers, is there to insulate the Canucks cap situation until we have signed all the guys we were targeting Just a haunch though
RabidRooster
We should have tried him with Petey for a few shifts.

Jess
Provided he isn't traded, Myers will be a Canuck for at least 8 years in his career. Wouldn't have expected that! He could finish with around 575 games as a Canuck! 1

-dlc-
OMG guys. I'm super glad we kept Myers and love how he plays in the playoffs. But, leading up to them, this is 100% accurate (and killed me) 1

Wilbur
Any word on Myers injury yet? Hopefully no structural damage

Hopefully no structural damage Unsure yet, but that in itself is not a good sign. If he was back in the linup next game we would probably know it by now? https://x.com/RinkWideVAN/status/1845146261839573474
snowman955
In hindsight his signing was not a great move. Where that 3 mill could have solidified Zadorov who we are going to regret not signing. Zad had the exact mixture of toughness that we needed He was comfortable here and did what was asked. Brain facts that Myets exudes are still there. His prime is done !

Whether it’s true or just endearing himself to his new fan base - who’s to say. But management certainly tried very hard to keep him and he wasn’t interested in staying. Seems really silly to just say otherwise because he got injured. 1

We dodged a very slow bullet with that guy and a long term big dollar deal.
