We're so cursed!

If we indeed cursed, we need to do something about it, as Cubs fans did:

"

On April 1, 2011, a social enterprise called Reverse The Curse, dedicated to bringing innovations to poverty by giving goats to families in developing countries, was initiated.[24] The goats provide the families with milk, cheese, and alternative income to help lift them out of poverty. Reverse The Curse has expanded into reversing the "curses" that afflict the world's children in education and obesity.

On February 25, 2012, a group of five Chicago Cubs fans calling themselves Crack the Curse set out on foot from Mesa, Arizona (home to the Cubs' spring training facilities) to Wrigley Field. They brought along a goat named Wrigley who they believed would be able to break the Curse of the Billy Goat upon arrival at Wrigley Field. Additionally, they attempted to raise $100,000 for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.[25]"

LOL at cursed.

Nope we are not.

Vancouver has won a cup , the next one will be after Bettman is gone and Canadian teams are equal to teams in the states which hasn't been so since Betty took over.

Who knows, what if the next one will be even more corrupted?

So glad the hockey season is about to start! Game 1 is tomorrow, team is mostly healthy and here is to hoping the new additions can help us play a more balanced game and we can have a strong season in the right direction!

Eh, I mean.. we're down one of our first line wingers and a solid defensemen, plus potentially our 4th line center who's supposed to help us out on our PK. So definitely not the start we want but hopefully it works out.

Did you just call Nils "Michigan goal" Hoglander a hands of stone guy?

Yes, he can't finish. Somethings wrong with his shot. I remember last year and the year before he'd be in the slot and couldn't even hit the net! It was crazy. Wide right by 5 feet? Coaches gotta fix him.

26 goals only in 141 NHL games?!?!

sac re blue

"Multiple player health problems,

Multiple injury problems,

Roster uncertainty and turmoil,

Difficult schedule."

1. It's a cold going around.

2. The major injury problem is from last year, Mikayev's knee. If it was me ltir until Jan. Heal it for good have him ready for the playoffs.

3. Stud is gone.Pearson is gone. Gave us cap room. Podz and Hogs haven't stood out like we hoped they would,  but they are young. PDG and Lafferty are added grit, maybe Juulsen too.

DeSmith looks like an improvement on back up.

PK looks way better.

Turmoil?

1) The team clearly doesn’t manage illness or it’s spread amongst  staff well. It’s been know for days that players sick with flu have been interacting  with others at practises and games. Now they don’t even know how deep it runs amongst the team and staff.

2) The Canucks have been fully aware of Mikayev’s injury for a year now. They chose to play him for months while injured assuming they had plenty of time for repair/rehab. They got that  wrong too. Not available for training camp , not available for preseason, not available for regular season. Clearly mismanaged.

3) A bunch of what could have been’s and  let’s hope they got it right’s.

4) Less than 24 hours prior to opening the season Garland reveals he wants out . That creates turmoil amongst the players. Suddenly , after preaching this team is all about playing for the crest and each other, a supposedly key player ( overpaid at 5m) wants no part of it. Now the team has to accommodate him with top 6 minutes in an effort to move him.

None of the above circumstances lead to success and the Canucks could have better managed every aspect of it.

It’s all typical Canucks never ending drama which will contribute to a losing record.

Why would they ever be?

A crumb off the market in Houston would be more than the entire market in WPG or Quebec city.
